The cost of workwear is not taken into account when calculating personal income tax and insurance premiums. The legislation does not define a clear list of officials who are part of the commission, so the decision on the composition is made by the head of the organization. As a rule, representatives of the administration, accountant, other specialists of the enterprise (economists, engineers, etc.) are included in the commission, and external specialists can also be involved.
The tasks of the inventory commission include:
- inspection of overalls to be decommissioned, and establishing its unsuitability for further use, or the possibility (impossibility) and the appropriateness of its restoration;
- determination of the cause of failure (wear and tear, violation of normal operating conditions, accident, fire, natural disaster, etc.);
- identification of persons through whose fault the SO prematurely failed, and appeal to the organization’s management with a recommendation to hold them accountable;
- determination of the possibility of using individual parts, parts and materials;
- drawing up an act of cancellation and its forwarding for approval to the head of the organization or to an authorized person;
- exercise control over disposal.
How to write off work clothes due to expiration
The organization’s inventory commission determines the deadlines on the basis of the Model Industry Standards for Issuance and the Interindustry Rules for providing workers with special clothing, special footwear and other personal protective equipment, approved by Order No. 290н of the Ministry of Health and Social Development of Russia of June 1, 2009.
