Brief excerpt from the text of the work (Abstract)
Introduction
Tourism is rightfully considered one of the largest, most profitable and most dynamically developing sectors of the economy, being an active source of foreign exchange earnings and influencing the country's balance of payments. In addition to influencing the economies of many countries, international tourism affects their social, cultural and ecological environment.
Therefore, it is no coincidence that interest in this activity is growing every year, involving almost all countries of the world, including Russia. The impact of tourism on Russia is still insignificant: it is adequate to the state's contribution to the development of this industry and is constrained mainly by the lack of real investment, undeveloped tourist infrastructure, low level of hotel service, insufficient number of hotel rooms and a shortage of qualified personnel.
Due to its geological and historical prerequisites, a peculiar system of natural complexes has developed on the territory of Primorsky Krai and the adjacent waters of the Sea of Japan, which are not found anywhere else in the world, which makes this region attractive for Russian and foreign tourists, but, despite this, in Primorye there is that the situation is the same as in Russia as a whole.
The purpose of this work is to consider the tourism resources of the Primorsky Territory and give a clear analysis of how and how these resources can be used in tourism activities.
In this regard, the following tasks were set:
Consider the tourism resources of Primorye;
To reveal the problems in the tourist area of the region and ways to solve them;
Analyze the prospects for the development of tourism in the Primorsky Territory.
In conclusion, the work is to summarize and draw conclusions.

The role of tourism in the socio-economic development of the region (on the example of the Primorsky Territory)
Tourist and recreational potential of Primorsky Krai
In terms of the development of tourist infrastructure and the concentration of cultural and historical objects, the Primorsky Territory ranks first in the Far Eastern Federal District. There are 184 units of state and public museums, art galleries, art galleries in the region; over 2000 units of monuments of history and culture (urban planning, architecture, monumental art, archeology); 9 theaters, 20 cinemas, 2 circuses, 1 oceanarium; more than 60 orchestras, concert organizations, cultural centers; more than 300 units of leisure facilities, about 30 units of large sports complexes, 10 stadiums, 7 specialized exhibition centers.
In the city of Vladivostok, 42 hotels are officially registered with a total number of rooms of more than 4000 units.
The Trans-Siberian railway with latitudinal branches to the state border and to the sea coast runs through the entire Primorsky Territory. In this regard, the region serves as a reference point for transit passage through the territory of the region for foreign and domestic tourists, providing them with a whole range of tourist services.
More than 1,100 public catering enterprises are registered in the Primorsky Territory. Of these: restaurants make up 7 percent of the total, cafes - 23.5 percent, bars - 11 percent, canteens - 3 percent, snack bars - 55.5 percent.
In the Primorsky Territory there are 111 transport companies engaged in passenger transportation. The largest road carriers for tourists are OOO ATP "Primorye" and OAO "Primoravtotrans".
There are 18 consulates of foreign countries in the Primorsky Territory.
Direct flights connect the capital of Primorye with the cities of Japan (Tokyo), the Republic of Korea (Seoul, Busan), China (Beijing, Harbin, Hong Kong, Dalian), North Korea (Pyongyang), Thailand (Bangkok) and Vietnam (Hanoi, Saigon).
Unique natural resources are concentrated in the Primorsky Territory, which undoubtedly increases its tourist attractiveness.
In the Primorsky Territory, there are 214 natural monuments, 10 mountain peaks and structures that are objects of mountaineering and rock climbing; of which about 40 are objects of speleo tourism. The objects of water rafting are 15 rivers of the Sea of Japan basin with a total floatable length of about 500 km and 7 rivers of the Ussuri river basin with a total floatable length of about 400 km.
In order to preserve the natural heritage of Primorye, a system of specially protected natural areas (SPNA) has been created in the region.
The PA system includes:
state nature reserves. There are six nature reserves in the Primorsky Territory (more than in any other constituent entity of the Russian Federation) with a total area of 679,423 hectares (4.1 percent of the territory of the region), including the sea area - 65,900 hectares and Lake Khanka - 5,690 hectares;
state nature reserves. There are 13 wildlife sanctuaries (zoological and hunting) with a total area of 298.7 thousand hectares (1.8 percent of the territory of the region);
national parks of federal significance. There are three national parks in the region: Udege Legend, Call of the Tiger, Land of the Leopard;
natural parks (regional value). There is one natural park in the region - the Khasansky natural park with an area of 35 thousand hectares;
natural monuments. On the territory of the Primorsky Territory, there are 94 more objects in this status. The largest natural monument includes the waters of the Expedition and Novgorodskaya bays and part of the Reid Pallada bay;
Botanical Garden-Institute of the Far Eastern Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences (area 178 hectares, of which 98 percent are natural forest plantations - the standard of nature in southern Primorye);
Arboretum of the mountain taiga station. acad. V.L. Komarov FEB RAS (area 50 hectares).
All this provides the region with the highest natural ecological tourist and recreational potential in comparison with the regions of the Russian Far East, which creates a unique opportunity for the development of a system of natural and ecological tourism of the international level in the region.
The potential of the Primorsky Territory is also high in the development of hunting and fishing tourism.
The objects of hunting tourism are: ungulates - 7 species of animals; fur animals - 13 species; field game - 1 species; waterfowl - 3 species (18 subspecies).
In addition to rich natural diversity, the Primorsky Territory occupies one of the leading places in Russia in terms of the availability of mineral water outlets and deposits of medicinal mud. The main resorts of the Primorsky Territory are the Shmakovka resorts, where mineral carbonic waters are used as the main therapeutic factor, and the Vladivostok health resort zone, which occupies the long coastal part of the Amur and Ussuriysky bays. These are the resorts: "Sadgorod", "Amursky Bay", "Primorye", "Okeansky", "Lazurny", the sanatoriums "Sokol", "Express", the children's recreation center "Ocean" and many other health resort organizations and camp sites.
There are more than two thousand monuments of history and ancient culture in the Primorsky Territory. Among them are the medieval Bohai and Jurchen settlements in the Ussuriysk and Shkotovsk regions, the “megalith park” in the vicinity of Ussuriysk and in the territories of other municipalities, which is the basis for the development of educational, historical and archaeological tourism.
The development of ethnographic (about five compact places of residence of small peoples, where a program of demonstration of national traditions is organized), pilgrimage (over 15 sites), event and business types of tourism has great potential in the Primorsky Territory.
The main monuments of history, urban planning and architecture, monumental and fine art, which are widely used in the practice of excursion activities of seaside tourist organizations, are: a monument to V.K. Arsenyev (Arsenyev), the Coal Miners' Palace of Culture (Artem), a monument to the Fighters for the power of the Soviets in the Far East in 1917-1922 (Vladivostok), the Vladivostok Naval Fortress (this is a unique historical complex-monument of fortifications of world importance, which has no analogues in the world).
In the Primorsky Territory, 236 tourism organizations are registered, 60 percent with higher education, 10 percent with higher tourism education, 55 percent have more than three years of experience in tourism.
As part of this work, we carried out a marketing research of the market of tourist services in the Primorsky Territory.
Research object: consumers of the tourist services market.
The purpose of the study is to analyze the state of the tourism industry in Primorsky Krai. The survey was carried out according to the questionnaire developed by the author of this work (see Appendix B).
To conduct the study, we used three methods: desk (study of publications about the Primorsky Territory industry in local media, study of data obtained as a result of the conducted research of the market of tourism services), field (survey of consumers of the market of tourist services in Primorsky Territory) and statistical.
The number of respondents is 120 people.
The main results of the study.
The study showed that 81.6% of the sample (91 people) used the services of travel companies in Primorsky Krai, 18.4% (29 people) did not use them.
The respondents' opinions on the development trends of the tourism industry in the Primorsky Territory were divided as follows. A significant part of the respondents (37%) expressed their opinion about the prospects of this industry. However, the majority of respondents (63%) were pessimistic and answered that there are no positive trends in the development of the tour industry due to a number of constraining factors (Table 1).
Table 1. Distribution of respondents' opinions on the factors hindering the development of the tourism industry in the Primorsky Territory.
The vast majority of respondents (100%) believe that domestic and inbound tourism in the Primorsky Territory is poorly developed.
Table 2 shows the distribution of respondents' opinions regarding positive trends in the development of the tourism industry in Primorsky Krai.
Table 2. Distribution of respondents' opinions regarding positive trends in the development of the tourism industry in Primorsky Krai.
The respondents' opinions on what could contribute to the development of the tourism industry in the Primorsky Territory were divided as follows:
training of highly professional personnel for the service and hospitality industry - 35%
increasing the competitiveness of the region's tourism products - 25%
development of world-class ecological tourism in the Primorsky Territory - 10%
development of business and event tourism in the Primorsky Territory - 37%
establishment of national parks on the territory of Primorsky Krai - 67%
organization of major international and regional business, cultural, entertainment events and sports competitions in the region - 43%
creation of a tourist and recreational special economic zone on the territory of Russky Island in the Vladivostok urban district of Primorsky Krai - 23%
infrastructure development - 77%.
Thus, in general, according to the study of the market of tourist services of the Primorsky Territory, the following conclusions can be drawn:
Domestic and inbound tourism is underdeveloped;
There are a number of factors hindering the development of the tourism industry in Primorsky Krai (insufficient level of development of tourist road and engineering infrastructure in Primorsky Krai; insufficient quality of service to visitors at tourism and hospitality enterprises of the region; low level of involvement of the recreational, historical and cultural potential of Primorsky Krai in tourism activities; imperfection of the regulatory legal framework in the field of tourism regulation; lack of a reliable operational information bank of data on tourist resources, objects, services in the region);
Despite the existing problems in the development of the tourism industry of the Primorsky Territory, certain positive trends have emerged, namely: the development and implementation of federal and regional target programs for the development of the tourism industry in the Primorsky Territory, improving the quality of service at the enterprises of tourist and hotel services, developing infrastructure;
Among the measures that can contribute to the development of the tourism industry of the Primorsky Territory, the following are leading: the development of business and event tourism in the Primorsky Territory, the establishment of national parks on the territory of the Primorsky Territory, the organization of large international and regional business, cultural, entertainment events and sports competitions in the province, the creation of tourism - a recreational special economic zone on the territory of the Russky Island of the Vladivostok urban district of the Primorsky Territory.
In conclusion, we can conclude that the Primorsky Territory has a powerful tourist and recreational potential that can make a significant contribution to the economic and socio-cultural development of the region with competent planning, which will take into account all the features and specifics of the tourist resources of the Primorsky Territory.

1 1 ANALYSIS OF HISTORICAL AND CULTURAL RESOURCES OF ETHNOGRAPHIC TOURISM IN THE PRIMORSK REGION Ponomarenko E.V., Kim T.M. FGBOU VPO Vladivostok State University of Economics and Service, branch in Artem, Russia (692760, Artyom, Kooperativnaya St., 6) ANALYSIS OF THE HISTORIC AND CULTURAL RESOURCES ETHNOGRAPHIC TOURISM IN PRIMORSKY KRAI Ponomarenko E.V., Kim T.M. "Vladivostok state university of economic and Service", branch in Аrtem city, Russia In the modern world, tourism is turning from a predominantly economic phenomenon into a phenomenon of social and cultural order. Acquaintance with the customs and traditions of other peoples has been and remains a strong incentive for many travels and is considered as the most important competitive advantage of a tourist destination. Thanks to ethnic tourism, a person gets the opportunity to see traditional dwelling and farm buildings, local residents in national clothes, as well as take part in traditional holidays, taste dishes of national cuisine and buy traditional household items as souvenirs. Returning from the trip, tourists show their relatives and friends the acquired products, share their impressions about the peculiarities of the culture of the ethnic groups of the visited region. Primorsky Krai, possessing unique natural resources and original culture of the indigenous people, has a huge untapped potential for the development of tourism in the international and regional markets. The tourist potential of recreational resources and historical and cultural heritage allows Primorye to harmoniously integrate into the international tourism market and achieve an intensive development of tourism in the region. A distinctive feature of ethnographic tourism is that it can be very interesting for almost any category of tourists. Both for foreigners and citizens of the Russian Federation, both for young people interested in the history, traditions and life of their ancestors, and for the older category of tourists with different motivations, but at the same time, this destination is unpopular and not widespread among the general public. circle of consumers. The object of ethnographic tourism is a cultural and historical object (phenomenon) containing information about the ethnic manifestations of traditional everyday culture. An ethnographic object must be considered as a system
2 2 signs that characterize the culture of an ethnic group in combination of its original and specific concrete forms. Ethnographic tourism is based on the interest of tourists in the true life of peoples, in acquaintance with folk traditions, rituals, creativity and culture. Ethnic tourism is one of the areas of tourism that has a pronounced ethno-linguistic and cultural component. Ethnic tourism can be both internal (for example, visiting the hinterland by city residents in order to get acquainted with archaic dialects, folklore, life, culture and languages of autochthonous peoples), and external, which is associated with visiting the historical homeland or places of birth of blood relatives. Tourist resources for ethnic tourism in Primorsky Krai are rich and unique. These are architectural monuments, museum expositions, archival materials, picturesque natural places. Taken together, all this creates favorable conditions for recreation and acquaintance with the history and culture of the people. Any locality can provide a minimum set of resources for ethnic tourism, but its mass development requires a certain concentration of historical and cultural resources: archeological monuments; cult and civil architecture; small and large historical cities; sociocultural infrastructure; rural settlements; museums, theaters, exhibition halls, etc .; ethnographic objects, folk crafts and crafts, centers of applied arts, technical complexes and structures. Each region has a unique historical and cultural potential. To determine the basis necessary for creating tours in the region, one should answer the questions: "What resources (heritage) is a particular area unique in relation to other territories and which is of interest to foreign tourists?" and "What resources of a specific location and how can be used in the development of tours for tourists from a specific country?" Primorye has unique places and sights, visiting which every Russian or foreigner will receive new unforgettable impressions. Most of the seaside attractions are located in areas that can be easily reached by transport. First of all, the cultural and historical resources of ethnographic tourism in the Primorsky Territory include the national villages of the indigenous peoples of Primorye. The places of permanent settlement of the aborigines are located in the north of Primorye. In the Terneisky district, the village of Agzu, is home to about 140 Samarga Udege people. The descendants of the first inhabitant of the village, Lev Semyonovich Kamandig, are the only carriers of the national shaman dance. At present, amateur performances are developed in Agzu, one of the brightest ensembles of folk dance is the "Kunkai" ensemble, the national kunkai
3 3 Udege musical instrument. Another of the national villages of the Udege is Krasny Yar was founded in 1957 from several ethnic villages scattered over a great distance. Representatives of 18 nationalities live in Krasny Yar: Udege, Orochi, Chukchi, Nanais, Russians, Tatars, Tajiks, Buryats, Chuvash and Yakuts. The population of Krasny Yar is 640 people, of which 399 are Udege, 115 Nanai, 15 Oroch. A national ensemble "Agdemi" has been created in the village, which is of great cultural importance for the Primorsky Territory and is the bearer of the Udege culture. Also, in the village of Ostrovnoe (Sanchikheza), several dozen Udege live. This territory was the place of traditional residence and fishing of a small indigenous people - the Iman Udege. The village of Ostrovnoye is located on the territory of the Udege Legend National Park. The main place of residence of the Taz in the Primorsky Territory is the village of Mikhailovka, Olginsky District, the population is 176 people, of which 90% are Taz. Valentina Andreevna Utai-Skichu-Du was one of the keepers of antiquity, who knew the national language of the Basins and kept the national costume, later all this passed on to her relatives. Today, unfortunately, the village is emptying, young people leave for other areas in search of work, there are practically no native speakers, the culture of the Taz is gradually disappearing into oblivion. In addition to the settlements of indigenous people, in the Primorsky Territory there is an Old Believer village of Dersu, a small village in the Krasnoarmeysky District. The old name of the settlement is Laulyu. Initially, Laulyu was an Udege camp. Resettlement villages, which were created at the end of the 19th century, are one of the resources of ethnographic tourism. One of the first was formed in 1866 by the village of Astrakhanka, Khanka region. The first inhabitants were immigrants from the Kiev and Astrakhan provinces. Elements of the traditional material and spiritual culture of those who arrived are rich material for tourists interested in ethnography and history of peoples living in the territory of the region. A little later, the village of Monastyryshche, Chernihiv region, was founded by 9 families of immigrants from the Poltava and Chernigov provinces. The main types of economic activities were agriculture, cattle breeding, beekeeping and small trades. Chernigovka grew rapidly and soon became the administrative and commercial center of the volost. The relics of the settlers are now kept in the local history museum of the Chernihiv region in the exposition "Ukrainian Hut". One of the oldest cities in Primorye is Ussuriysk, the second largest city in the region. In 1866, 13 families from the Voronezh and Astrakhan provinces founded the village. Nikolskoe. Since the territory of the village was located in the Khanka lowland, it was very beneficial for agricultural
4 4 development, this was the reason for the acceleration of population growth rates. By 1898 the population of the village was 18 thousand people and the village was renamed the city of Nikolsk-Ussuriysky. An open-air museum has been created in the Primorsky Territory, combining archaeological sites of the Bohai period and the traditions of the indigenous population. "Paleo village" is a museum and exhibition center of the city of Nakhodka - the project has been implemented since 2006 as an educational platform for studying the archaeological and ethnographic past of Primorye. One of the tasks of "Paleo-Village" is to recreate the atmosphere of a certain historical era, awaken in a child a sense of belonging to the past, foster respect for the life and everyday life of ancestors, for nature. As for ethnographic tourism, excursions are held in the paleo-village with the participation of ethnic groups of the indigenous peoples of Primorye. Also, national games are held, such as archery, jumping over sledges, zeligde, as well as a reconstructed shamanic ceremony around the hearth. Near Partizansk there are Nikolayevskoye and Shayginskoye settlements, which are unique monuments dating back to the early Middle Ages, when the territory of Primorye was part of the Bohai state (years). In the vicinity of the city of Arsenyev there are about 40 different archaeological monuments: settlements, settlements, parking, and also caves, which are enthusiastically explored by cavers. You can learn about the history, ancient and modern culture of Primorye in museums located throughout the region. Museum them. VK Arsenyev in Vladivostok was founded in 1884. It was opened for visitors in 1890 as a museum of the Society for the Study of the Amur Region. In 1900, at the Paris World Exhibition, the museum was awarded two bronze medals for its ethnographic collections. The Museum of Archeology and Ethnology was opened on November 15, 1979 at the Institute of History, Archeology and Ethnography of the Peoples of the Far East. The origins of the museum are: Academician A.I.Krushanov, famous scientists, specialists in the field of archeology and ethnography of the south of the Far East. The main excursions of the museum: the primitive history of the Far East; medieval archeology of the south of Primorye in the Far East; ethnography of Primorsky Krai. Numerous historical, archaeological, ethnographic museums contain materials obtained by archaeologists during expeditions throughout the entire Far East. Many of these findings are unique and of particular scientific value. Archaeological sites open to the public will also tell about the ancient history of the Primorsky Territory. More than two thousand archaeological and historical monuments of great cultural importance are known on the territory of the Primorsky Territory. 875 of them belong to the era of the primitive communal system (settlements
5 5 Paleolithic, Mesolithic and Neolithic) and by the Middle Ages (the first state formations of the state of Bohai, the state of Chzhurcheni, etc.). When analyzing the distribution of historical and ancient cultural monuments along the region, territories with their highest concentration were identified, which were identified as cultural and historical zones. These areas include the Posiet Bay basin (about 120 monuments), the vicinity of the village. Chernigovka (about 180 monuments), as well as the valley of the river. Razdolnaya, upper Ussuri, river basin. Silty, some areas of the coast of the Sea of Japan, a number of other areas. The inclusion of cultural and historical zones in the composition of cognitive territorial recreational systems in combination with their protection will contribute to the dissemination of knowledge and the establishment of moral values. Based on the data obtained, it can be concluded that the Primorsky Territory, possessing unique historical and cultural resources and preserved traditions, the original culture of the indigenous people, has a huge unrealized potential for the development of ethnographic tourism in the international and regional markets. The tourist potential of recreational resources and historical and cultural heritage allows the region to harmoniously integrate into the international tourism market and achieve intensive development of tourism in the country. This will ensure sustainable growth in employment and incomes of the population, stimulate the development of tourism-related industries and increase the inflow of investments into the regional budget.
