To be or not to be an accountant
At the first stage of organizing my business, I somehow did not think about how and with whose help I would keep records, it was not before that. But all organizational issues were more or less resolved, a pavilion was rented in one of the shopping centers, the first customers appeared - and I thought about who would be involved in the “bureaucracy”: place orders, keep records of purchased spare parts, control the timeliness of regular payments (communications, rent, communal services, etc.).
Separately, it was necessary to decide what to do with accounting - to be an accountant or not to be? To be honest, such a question did not arise - I knew the answer to it beforehand. For tax reporting I chose “simplified” - 6% of the income. Having monitored the salaries of accountants on hh.ru and the prices of firms and freelancers offering accounting services, I realized that I could not find a specialist for less than 10-15 thousand rubles a month. At the initial stage, I could not afford such expenses, so I decided to try to figure it out myself.
Where to begin? The option of keeping records in a notebook immediately disappeared, because I don’t know the intricacies and features of accounting, the nuances of reporting, etc. Plus, I would like to generate some reports for myself (for example, see the dynamics of sales by month, debt to suppliers, etc.). It should be possible to connect a cash register in order not to do unnecessary work (I broke the check and the program immediately reflected the sale).
The program should run on any mobile device (phone, tablet, laptop).
It should be possible to generate reports on sales and expenses, moreover, preferably both in numbers and in graphs.
The cost of use should not exceed 1,500 rubles per month.

It turned out that not many companies offer to keep records in the cloud. And, probably, it’s understandable why - only a large company can ensure stable operation via the Internet and reliable data protection.
I will not bother the reader by comparing the products of these companies, because everyone can have their own - special - requirements for the program, and it is better to go this way yourself.
The main thing, in my opinion, when choosing to observe two simple principles:

Find compliance with these wishes (or most of them) in one of the products on the market.

Work without an accountant
And now about the most important thing - is it possible, without special training, to start keeping records? It turned out you can. The first thing on the site I was offered a month to use the program for free. Great, just my option!
Click "Try it for free." I enter the phone number and mail address, indicate my TIN and taxation mode - and get full access to the program in the "cloud".
First, I needed to pay the phone cases for the supplier. Despite the fact that the program did not initially contain any information about my provider, the formation of a payment took me no more than 5 minutes.
Almost all necessary information about the supplier were filled in by its TIN machine, from bank details it was required to indicate only the BIC and account number. I uploaded the payment in electronic form and sent it to the bank through a separate application.
Later, in the process of work, I realized that this was not necessary - you can send payments to the bank directly from BusinessStart.
I had to dig deeper into the settings, but it was worth it - now it’s enough to fill in the details for payment, and it will go to the bank in one click.
I must say that I work on an old HP computer with 1GB RAM and Win7 OS. And with such low laptop performance, the program worked pretty fast.

Now let's see how I, a person who is not dedicated to the mysteries of accounting and economics, can reflect my purchases and sales. I have a few purchases, two or three invoices per week. Plus, once a month rent and communal.
I'll try on already paid phone cases. It seems nothing complicated, everything is written in a simple and understandable language. I found the “Purchases” section, selected “Receipts (acts, invoices)”, filled out a simple form in which I indicated the supplier, the name of what I bought (phone cases), their quantity and cost. It’s not difficult yet.
With sales it was a little harder. In order for me to be able to reflect retail sales in the program, I had to read a description of it.
As a result, a day later I had the opportunity to print checks from the program. Moreover, all information about the sale was reflected in the program automatically.
In general, I would not call the reflection of regular operations very simple, but with certain efforts made, you can find ways to solve the difficulties encountered in the process. On the other hand, I’m not posting a photo of dinner on Instagram, but keeping track of my business, and on my own!
I really liked the “reminder” on the home page: the program knew what I needed to do in the near future and reminded me of it.

In general, I liked the “1C: BusinessStart” program, because she completely covers all my needs. And most importantly, what I understood is that I can do without an accountant in my small business.
