Perhaps, everyone is already familiar with the Contact system. How to get money if it was sent to you from the Russian Federation or the countries of the Far and Near Abroad? Everything is extremely simple, but it depends on the exact method of making the payment used by the addressee. The fact is that the payment operator allows several ways to transfer finance. Some are straightforward, while others require partnerships. But regardless of the technical subtleties, getting or making a Contact transfer is easier than ever.
The system allows transfers not only in national currency, but also in US dollars and Euros. Contact Transfers is one of the few payment operators that are ready to transfer funds to the accounts of individuals in banks not only in Russia, but also in a number of foreign countries, including Turkey, New Zealand, the United Arab Emirates, the United States and others.
Translation features
The operator allows the following options when sending payments:
- Online transfers.
- Transactions in offices.
- CONTACT ACCOUNT.
- Transfer through a mobile operator.
- Transfer via terminal.
- Sending via Internet Banking.
Each of them has its own advantages, and regular users of the system are already aware of how best to carry out operations.
Online transfers Contact
Online transfer implies that the sender will transfer money to the addressee using his bank card (this can be Visa, Master Card, Maestro, and also MIR), but it must be issued by a Russian bank. The translation is carried out:
- to the recipient's card;
- to any point of issue of the system.
Helpful! 3DSecure technology is used to ensure the safety of customers.
In the first case, the question of where to get the "Contact" transfer should be completely eliminated, since the client will be able to immediately use the funds received on the card, for example, pay for purchases in a store or withdraw cash from the nearest ATM.
To make such a transfer, you must provide:
- Recipient's card details (number is enough), country of residence and city.
- Sender card data. In addition, you need to indicate its validity period, as well as the three-digit code indicated on the back of the plastic.
- Transfer amount.
In the second case, visiting the office where clients are served cannot be avoided. But the algorithm of actions also turns out to be extremely simple, as in the case of transferring funds from point to point.
Transfer from item
The most traditional way to transfer funds. It is also the most reliable, since the operator does not depend on the actions of third parties (banks, partners), as when transferring to a card or when using a mobile device, terminal, Internet banking. All operations are performed by the "Contact" payment system. How to receive the money?
If you know for sure that the funds will not come to your bank card, but to the point of issue, take your passport with you and go to the nearest "Contact" branch, the money will be issued during business hours. You can also call the customer support number 8-800-200-4242 to find out the information you are interested in from the operator.
The recipient must have a Russian passport or other document that can confirm his identity. It is noteworthy that transactions can be carried out with the participation of non-residents of the Russian Federation, which means that passports can also be foreign. However, the legislation of the Russian Federation clearly prescribes the conditions for cooperation with citizens of other states. Thus, the transfer amount cannot exceed 10,000 dollars or euros. Also, transfers in currencies other than dollars, euros or rubles are not allowed.
Important! The operator will need to name the transaction number (reported by the sender) and the amount of the transfer.
If we talk about the availability of pick-up points, then they can be found in every city of the Russian Federation. In order to clarify the addresses of the points of issue, just go to the service website in the section "Points of service". Here it is enough to indicate the country of residence of the recipient and the city. For example, if we choose Moscow from the list, then we get 346 points of issue. A detailed list is presented below.
Please note that all associated costs are borne by the sender. The payout fee is not charged to the recipient.
CONTACT ACCOUNT
The "CONTACT ACCOUNT" service implies a transfer to a bank account of an individual or legal entity. Moreover, it can be opened not only in Russian, but also in some foreign banks. Accordingly, then it is quite easy to receive a transfer through Contact. You need to wait until the bank processes the transaction and the funds are credited to the account.
The service is available to account holders in a wide variety of countries (China, Turkey, Canada, Thailand, USA and many others).
However, in this case, you need to familiarize yourself with the requirements for each country. For example, for a transfer within Russia to an individual, the following data will be required from him:
- BIK of the bank (9-digit), the cardholder of which he is;
- Account number (20 digits);
If funds are transferred to a legal entity, then you will need to additionally indicate the TIN, KPP and VAT (we indicate whether the tax will be paid).
Mobile transfer
In this case, the sender only needs a mobile transfer and Internet access. Payment system "Contact" cooperates with several companies.
MTS
The mobile operator provides an opportunity to transfer money from the phone online with the possibility of receiving it in the "Contact" point. If the transfer is carried out within the Russian Federation, then:
- The minimum amount is 1,000 rubles, and the maximum should not exceed 15,000. You can transfer no more than 40,000 rubles per month.
- Overpayment for translation will be 4%.
- The transfer currency can only be rubles.
- The money comes to the recipient in a few minutes.
Also, an MTS client can send transfers to Georgia and the CIS countries.
Payment service RURU
When using this platform, you can transfer money not only from MTS, but also to users of Beeline, Tele2 and Megafon. In this case, monetary transactions can be sent not only within the Russian Federation, but also to the Baltic countries and the CIS. However, you need to be prepared for the fact that there should be a larger amount on the phone account, since when transferring from the personal account of MTS and Megafon, a commission of 7.5 to 7.9% will be withheld. In this case, the conditions for the maximum transfer remain the same as when using the MTS service. Beeline services will cost a little cheaper. The user will need to pay a commission of 5.95%, as well as 10 rubles for the operation. However, if the transfer is made to the Baltic States, the CIS or Georgia, the overpayment will be 0% (provided that the transfer currency is US dollars or Euros).
The transfer is carried out by sending SMS. Let's say we need to send 2000 rubles to a friend in another city. To do this, write a message to number 7878 with data that will look like the sender's full name, his passport number, the recipient's full name, the transfer amount. At the very beginning, put "Cont". The result is "Cont Petrov Petr Petrovich 1234123456 Ivanov Ivan Ivanovich 2000". In this case, the transfer will be addressless, that is, the recipient will have to contact an office of the appropriate type. There he will need to give the transfer number (reported by the sender) and show his passport.
MOBI.Money
In this case, the service can be used not only by the clients of the most famous mobile operators, but also by those who use the services of Rostelecom-Ural and Rostelecom-Volga. In all cases, the maximum amount of monthly transfers should not exceed 40,000 rubles. The standard commission does not differ either, which will be 5.95%. The only difference is only in the cost of the operation, which depends on the amount of the payment. This applies only to the operators Megafon and Beeline. If the transfer is less than 5,000 rubles, then the operation will cost 95 rubles. If the amount reaches 15,000 (the maximum possible transfer per day), then you will have to pay 259 rubles.
Helpful! The transfer can be made only in rubles.
In order to send money, you just need to send a short message to the number 3116. The identifiers and codes to determine which country the payment is sent to are shown in the picture below.
If there are difficulties with sending messages, it will be more convenient to use the form for online processing of the transfer. For example, the MTS website has a section called “Money Transfers”. It is enough to go to it and select "Contact Russia". After that, it remains to fill out the required form, indicating your phone number and choosing "From the MTS phone account".
The exact same section can be found on the official websites of Beeline, Tele2 and Megafon.
Payment terminals
You can also transfer funds using payment terminals. Located in shopping centers, metro and shops in almost all cities. The commission in this case may differ depending on the specific owner of the terminal:
- This service allows the maximum possible transfer of 15,000 rubles. The commission will be 1.5%.
- Amigo. In the Russian Federation, the commission will be 1.5%, and for transactions to neighboring countries, it will be increased to 2.5%.
- QIWI. Regardless of the region of payment, the overpayment will be 2%.
- Euro payments - from 1 to 2%.

Contact payment system "Contact" cooperates with several partners. They are most interested in HandyBank, since with the help of this service it becomes possible to use Internet banking for almost any financial organization, if a person has a Visa, MasterCard or Maestro card.
If we talk about restrictions, then the minimum transfer is 1,000 rubles, and the maximum possible limit within the Russian Federation will be 500,000 rubles per transaction.
How to check the status of sending money
Of course, if we are talking about a fairly large amount or in a situation where money is needed urgently, the user wants to know what status the transaction is in. This is very easy to do. It is enough to go to the main page of the service and select the section "Checking the translation status". In the window that opens, you need to enter the transaction number (it comes in SMS) and the name of the sender. After that, information about the payment will appear on the screen.
Possible problems upon receipt
It is permissible to receive a "Contact" translation only on the conditions indicated above. Situations are not uncommon when a client cannot use the money due to problems with documents, for example, due to an expired passport. In this case, the sender can cancel the payment or make changes to its details so that the transaction is still completed successfully for all parties.
CONTACT tariffs
The commission when using the service is from 1 to 2%, depending on the countries of origin and destination of payments
