How new Belarusian money will look like, you can see.
The President of Belarus warned about the denomination
Recall, the conversations about the denomination rose more than once. In 2014, Alexander Lukashenko, at a meeting with representatives of the media, stated that the design of new banknotes and kopecks was already approved, and they would "remind the euro."
He also declared that the denomination will be announced in Belarus for six months. "We will think with specialists when this period comes. Here you have to be very careful, "said the head of state.
We are ready to carry out a denomination at any time. But still even for this technical step must be certain conditions. There should be no such interest rate, there should be no alarms on the market so that the population is not worried. And in the economy so that there were no crisis phenomena. "
"Therefore, we will pick up time and this is not less than half a year," the president noted. - In parallel during the year, at least the old rubles will also go, and new rubles. "
The President noted that new money was already approved, and, on a par with bills in Belarus, the coins may be also going. According to the head of state, externally new money is similar to the euro.
"We do not hide, we are ready for this process for a long time," said Alexander Lukashenko. "But you need to pick up the time so that in any way people do not reproach that we conducted a denomination, and someone had betrayed this. I will have a tough requirement: if we are rounded in prices, then only in a smaller side. People will not lose anything here. "
The president once again assured that the denomination will be told in advance. "I guarantee! I will not deceive, "said the head of state.
Based on Tut.BY. and Site. National Bank of the Republic of Belarus
On July 1, 2016, citizens of the republic will first take the bills and coins of the new sample. While we saw only sketches on the screens, but some idea is already being folded.
In appeal will be the banknotes of seven denominations: 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, 200, 500 rubles, and eight coins: 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, 50 kopecks, 1 and 2 rubles.
The size of the banknote is not too different from those to which we have become accustomed to from 2000 - 150 × 74 mm. Semantic content, in general, also: architecture, national patterns, but the design has become more "European". This is explained - in Europe there is a winning contest of the National Bank Manufacturer of Dennaughter (where exactly - not yet reported).
From the application it also follows that the creation of its mint in Belarus is not planned, production is too expensive, for a small state is clearly not cost-effective. By the way, from the same source managed to find out that the production of one bill or coins range from 1 to 4 euro scents, i.e. Coins in 1 kopeck, at the current rate, almost twice the cheaper cost.
It should be noted that coins and bills are printed back in 2009, as evidenced by the signature of the then chapter of the National Bank P. P. Prokopovich, and the old writing of the word "Piltezizyat", instead of "Pilotzpyati", as follows from the existing spelling rules. Minds are promised to eliminate in the manufacture of the following dancers.
The money printed in 2009 could be introduced into circulation and earlier, but this was prevented by the global economic crisis and too high in the Belarusian economy in subsequent years. It also pleases that the cost of making money has already been incurred, although there are expenses for the exchange, changes in accounting, reconfiguration of ATMs and other techniques.
By the way, the question of future work of ATMs (especially in the transitional period) remain open: only with new money or in parallel with the old? With or without coins?
Returning to the design of new money, we note that images on seven bills are fair, i.e. Alphabetically, distributed between regions: Pyrublevoy is devoted to the Brest region; tenbye - Vitebsk; twenty - Gomel; Covers in fifty rubles - Grodno; Storublevaya - Minsk; Two pumping - Mogilev region; And the largest in five hundred rubles itself is the city of Minsk.
The reverse side of the banknotes is filled with historical and cultural symbols, already without explicit binding to the geography of the country and the image on the front side.
The design of the coin can remind the metal money of the Soviet period, and the bubblevik is composed of two metals of different colors, like the euro.
On the front side of all coins of the emblem of the republic, on the reverse national symbols. On all dennaissance, the 2009 release is specified.
Information about new money appeared not too much, but something can be seen now:
The largest bill of 500 rubles(5 million for current money).
On the front side: National Library, Signature Prokopovich, Year of release, nominal bills in numbers and in words, a straight cross in the lower left corner, a rectangular sign on it like a door, on the right - the inscription "RB", along the whole side of translucent images and a metal band for better protection against fake.
On the reverse side - nominal numbers, the serial number of bills in two places, and the composition on the subject of literature: goose feather, inkwell, book, and a flower and a fern branch. Probably, not all symbols on new dennaunks will be understood by a simple man in the street, but they are probably not accidental.
200 rubles - The overall structure of the facial and revolving sides remains the same, the color solution shifts towards violet. On the front side - the Mogilev Regional Art Museum named after P.V. Maslennikov, in the lower left corner, instead of a straight, oblique cross, above it, an image of a rectangle, similar to the door.
On the back side - the collage on the topic of urban planning and crafts: the seal of Mogilev and the Golden Key, the tiles, a wrought grille, images of houses.
100-ruble bills: Castle Radziwilles in Nesvizh, in the corner instead of the cross Rhombus, over him a rectangle.
On the back - musical instruments, Slutsk belts, Puppet Theater "Battleka", Goat and "Bailad Zorka". Common topic - ethnography, folk holidays. Color range closer to turquoise.
50 rubles - on the front side: a worldly castle, in the lower left corner the triangle, above it the picture similar to the "false window", just that many in the worldly castle.
On the back - composition on the topic of art: feather, paper, lira, notes and laurel branches. Salad colors prevail in the design.
20 rubles. On the front side: Palace of Rumyantsevy-Passevichi in Gomel, in the corner - the square, above it - a window.
On the back: the bell, the tours of the Gospel, the carving, Types of Turov in antiquity. The total topic is spirituality. Color bills - rather sandy.
10 rubles. On the front side: Savior Transfiguration Church in Polotsk. A sample of ancient Polotsk architecture of the 12th century, the contemporary of Saint Efrosiny Polotsk. In the lower left corner - the circle, above it - the image of a high window.
The main theme of the reverse side is the enlightenment and typography. Depicted: Cross Efrosigni Polotsk, books, print of Francis Skorne. Color bills closer to blue with golden.
5 rubles - The smallest of the bill. On the front side - white regracy in Kamenets (Brest region) - a defensive construction of the 13th century, a rare sample of the romance style for Belarus. In the corner sign "-", above it is the element of the fortress wall.
The reverse side of the banknote is devoted to the ancient Slavic history, depicted the wheel, leather belt, reconstruction of an ancient fortified settlement "Berestye". The general background is perhaps the colors of ocher, brick.
Also in the turn will appear coins:
Coins in 1 and 2 rubles Made of silver-gray metal. 2 ruble has a bezel of yellow color.
On the obverse (front side) at coins - the coat of arms of Belarus and the figure "2009".
On the reverse (reverse side) - the nominal and ornament personifying the desire for happiness and freedom. These ornaments on 1 and 2 rubles are different, but the meaning load is one.
A penny, depending on the nominal, are divided into two colors, as in the Soviet Union, although there is no accurate match.
Small: 1, 2 and 5 kopecks - similar to copper, 10, 20, 50 kopecks - Golden shade.
From May 20, 2019, updated banknotes of the 2009 model of 2009 were commissioned with a denomination of 5 and 10 Belarusian rubles 2019 release. This decision was made by Resolution of the Board of the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus dated April 24, 2019 No. 183 within the framework of the activities carried out on the replacement of dilapidated banknotes and optimizing the protective complex of banknotes in circulation.

The second time for the history of independence of the country was declared a denomination, and, therefore, new money was introduced into circulation. In Belarus, which has already got used to living in the world of millionaires, such changes made a real extension. Even after half a year after the announcement of the denomination, when the previous money is finally derived from circulation, many continue to consider as accustomed for many years. So what they are - new
What changed?
Let's start with the fact that the samples of the new money of Belarus were developed long before their introduction into appeal - the bills themselves were already printed in 2009 and locked in reliable storage facilities. As part of the denomination, four zero was cut, that is, if in the old banks, the minimum rating was a hundred rubles, now - now one penny.
For Belarusians who have not previously used coins, such innovations became not a very pleasant surprise: Not only had to change the wallets (after all, there were no special branches in the old purse), so also automata, ATMs and other cars that took earlier even the most Small bills, not reconfigured for kopecks. It is also worth noting that even the acquisition of new wallets did not help people adapt to new money, but further.
Design
Yes, new money in Belarus, unlike old, more resemble European than Soviet. Moreover, the denominated rubles (namely called a new currency in the country at the time when she still coexisted with old money) even criticized for their excessive similarity from the euro.
An individual plus was that Belarus retained the concept of the image of historical buildings on new bills, however, now, with a reduction in the number of paper money rates, some attractions had to be abandoned. Each area of \u200b\u200bthe republic is immortalized on the bills, and not only well-known places, but also those image of which cause positive associations from Belarusians as symbols.
Unaccounted projects
Of course, those who wanted to see in completely different new money in Belarus were found. Photos of possible options, bills appeared on the Internet even a year before the denomination. Many were offered to put on portraits of famous Belarusians, they diverged, however, in who it is worthy of representing the country at its monk signs: Some turned to the wrestlers for Belarusian statehood, others to the rulers of different eras, the third - to the figures of science and art.
Another interesting concept, which was never embodied, is the use of images of vintage household objects and jewelry, which would resemble people about their roots. The third option was offered to reorient the bills, that is, to make them not familiar with horizontal, and vertical, on the manner of the Israeli or Swiss monetary units. The most radical from the whole proposed is to renaming the currency in the taler, on the manner of the currency of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, depicting on the banks of people who gave their lives for the sovereignty of the state.
Protection system
No one could say that in appeal to appeal, what new money will be in Belarus. It was known that in their manufacture, new protection technologies were used, which would make special signs in the form of geometric shapes, according to which the visually impaired people can recognize the rates. In addition, a special method of strengthening angles is used, thanks to which the bills will be more resistant to abrasion, which could not be said about the money of the old sample. Another difference is the change in the picture: no abstract patterns are visible on the list, but the building depicted on the bill. From the traditional preserved in what the new money looks like Belarus, the following: firmware with a special ribbon with an abbreviation of the NBRB (National Bank of the Republic of Belarus). It is also aimed at improving the protection of subsoisy bills.
Coins
But the most anticipated and anticipating in Belarus are coins. Eight denominations were released - 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, 50 kopecks, 1 and 2 rubles. You can share coins into three groups: the red (the smallest ornament-applied ornament - the sign of wealth and wealth), yellow (10-50 kopecks with ornament, symbolizing vitality) and silver (if you are more accurate, then the ruble coin is completely silver, And the double-inner - silver with a wide gold edging; the applied ornaments indicate freedom and will).
At the same time, despite originality and unusual, already today, six months after the introduction of new coins, it is difficult to say how these samples of new money of Belarus will look like in five to ten years. The fact is that the coins of small denominations are made so unsuccessful that it is difficult to see them to see and young man, not that someone who sees well. In addition, the nominal is very quickly erased, and the small coins themselves are corrosion. As for the two-lined coins, which the republic is so proud, it turned out that when an application is not very large, the coin is easily split into two components - all this clearly does not contribute to the popularization of new money among the population.
Effects
Yes, the time has already passed when people wondered what new money will be in Belarus. The photo of the price tags, in which there were no usual zeros, incomprehensible at first recalculations between the old and new money, which were put in a dead end of those who are all good with mathematics - all this has already been easier.
From January 1, 2017, six months after the official introduction to the turnover of the Sample of 2009 (which is why the adjective "new") is so paradoxically sounds next to them, the use of old money is stopped and their withdrawal begins. The population is given for another five years to completely get rid of outdated monetary units and finally get used to how new money in Belarus looks.
Attempts to understand
What has changed when new money appeared in Belarus? Photo Covers immediately after the denomination flooded the Internet, for which a whole squall of jokes hit the country about the long-forgotten monetary signs with images of animals, nicknamed "bunnies" (they were in the middle of the nineties).
Was the financial well-being of the population changed? No, on the contrary, from the country of millionaires, Belarus has become a bird, where the whole salary can receive several bills.
When there were talk about what new money will be in Belarus, the photo of the bills, the denomination of which is equivalent to $ 50, was surprising that it should be about bill of 100 and 250 dollars (though it should be noted that the latter are not available to the wide segments of the population). For people who are used to that "two rubles" (namely, they called 2000 old rubles) - this is the tenth of the dollar, now a stable "dollar - two rubles" sounds a little even encouraging. In addition, due to confusion with prices (especially during the period, when it was possible to pay and get the surrender, the state could increase them imperceptibly to the public. It is easier to say that new money in Belarus, despite the fact that you pleased the eye, they brought more difficulties and problems. And perhaps, this is all the temporary phenomenon that will disappear when the state is finally getting rid of his consciousness from old money.
P.S.
Today we already know the answer to the question of what new money will be in Belarus. It remains only to understand whether they will bring the country that the best for which they were told by those who released them.
When planning a trip to Belarus, it will be useful will be familiar with the peculiarities of the country's payment system. But this article contains valuable information on this topic not only for the guests of the republic, but also for its inhabitants.
A bit of history
The Belarusian ruble is a relatively young national currency in Belarus. The monetary unit began its history in the first half of the 90s, when the Soviet Union collapsed, Belarus was alone, and the country had a need for their own money. Since 1992, there have been coupons in circulation, but payment operations on non-cash payments were carried out already in Belarusian rubles. In 1993, there were settlement tickets, and since the end of July, the Soviet rubles began to withdraw from the cash turnover.
Since 1994, the Belarusian ruble has fully acquired the status of the only country's currency.

Denominations
The formation of modern money the country was long and to some extent thorny. Already in 1994, the Bank of Belarus conducted the first denomination of the ruble 10 times. In 2000, the currency has undergone a re-transformation in a nominal value, but already 1000 times.
On July 1, 2016, the economy of the country has again needed a denomination. The ratio was 1:10,000. The innovation was the fact that since the same time the chasing of state coins began.
The ratio of monetary signs after the denomination in 2016 (Money of the Republic of Belarus of the new sample and outdated)
Memorable coins
Earlier, the Belarusian ruble was not exchanged units, however, since 1996, the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus issues memorable coins, which are a legitimate payment tool and represent a certain value for collectors. Such coins are minted from gold, silver or copper-nickel alloy on various topics.
Modern money Belarus
Previously, the absence of coins distinguished Belarus from other countries. But it was done in order to save the state budget.
Now modern Belarusian rubles (abbreviated "BR") are presented:
- banknotes 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, 200 and 500 rubles;
- coins 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, and 50 kopecks, as well as 1 and 2 rubles.
At the same time, 1 ruble is 100 kopecks.
And coins, and paper bills are governed by the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus.
I am looking for a currency exchange
For both guests and residents of the country, the exchange of currencies - the question is scrupulous and relevant. Therefore, then we propose to familiarize yourself with the peculiarities of the conversion of Belarusian rubles.
At the entrance
Since the Belarusian currency is not freely convertible, it will not work before entering the country.
Banks of Belarus without problems convert foreign money to national. Change the existing bills of other countries on Belarusian rubles can be in currency exchange points. Such points are located in bank departments, shopping centers, markets, hotels. At airports and at the station, you can also convert cash, but the course is very unfavorable there, so without the urgent need it is better not to change money.
Quick currency rate analysis is conveniently performed using special online services that collect topical information from sites of local banks.
N.and the note: Usually the most favorable exchange rates of currency offer medium and small banks.
When leaving
Leaving the limits of Belarus, should take care of the transfer of money in the currency of the country of arrival. At the same time, it is better to be guided by the Golden Rule: not to put all the eggs in one basket. Namely: to take a small part in cash, changing them in the exchanger at the most advantageous course, and the rest of the way to transfer. Going to the countries of the European Union is to draw up a map in euros, all others - in US dollars. In this case, when paying, the conversion will be direct: the local currency will be translated into EUR or USD. But the ruble map of abroad is paid extremely unprofitable due to double conversion: first from the local currency - in euros or US dollars, and after - in Belarusian rubles.
On the border
When performing any payment operations on the territory of Belarus, it is important not to forget to maintain escaping checks, testifying to the transaction. Perhaps they will be checked at customs.
In addition, since 2013 there is a value added tax return system (VAT) to foreign citizens for the purchase, held on the territory of Belarus upon departure from her. It is called such a TAX FREE system, and about 50 countries are connected to it. It should be borne in mind that:
- in residents of Belarus, Russia, Kazakhstan, Armenia and Kyrgyzstan, it does not apply;
- the price of goods must be covered by VAT in the amount of 20%;
- the purchase amount should exceed 80 Belarusian rubles, while it must be carried out within 1 day in 1 store;
- the amount of compensation is 12.5% \u200b\u200bof the purchase amount without commissions;
- when buying, you must have a passport and notify the seller about the intention to issue an "check on the return of VAT" (hereinafter the "Check");
- the check should be marked on the removal of the goods, with the attached original of the cash check and a copy of the seller's check;
- provide goods by customs officers strictly for 3 months from the date of purchase;
- at customs have not used the goods in the holistic packaging, passport, buyer check (with attached checks);
- within 6 months after the export, you need to send the original check in the RUE "BelTa Committee", pointing to the envelope of the recipient's bank card (sending free);
- return of the VAT amount in the recipient currency is made within 30 days from the date of receipt of the letter by employees by the RUE "BelTa Committee";
- the return amount can also be paid in cash at the Special Paragraph Tax Freeecash Refund (at the National Airport Minsk).
Bank cards
Among all methods of calculation in Belarus, the most popular non-cash via bank payment cards.
From debit plastic cards in the republic, Visa and MasterCard are more often used, there are also Belkart and Maestro. And from credit cards (if more precisely, installments deposits: percentage of percentage is 0.000001%) the most in demand by the population of Halva (MTBank), "Shopping Map" (Belgazprombank), "Smart Map" (Moscow-Minsk Bank), "Magnet "(BelarusBank)," Turtle "(VTB Bank).
Traveler's checks
Until 2013, when traveling to Belarus, AmericanExpress travelers could be used, which were the only payment system for this species. Today, such a payment system in the country does not function.
Electronic payment systems
In Belarus, there are convenient and modern electronic payment systems. Popular Belarusian EPS:
- electronic wallets - EasyPay, WebMoney;
- payment by means of a smartphone - iPay;
- payment systems by bank cards - WebPay, Bepaid, Assist BELARUS;
Tokens and payment cards
Because the coins appeared in the turn not so long ago, in the country they retained their relevance tokens and payment cards. Where they can be applied and acquired:
- For travel in the subway. Plastic cards and metro tokens are sold at each station.
- In city streets, active payphones are installed, which are activated by smart cards. You can buy them in newsstands or at the couss of supermarkets.
- Vending machines, which are a bit in the republic, accept special tokens, which are also available in newspaper stalls. By the way, the absolute majority of vending machines are equipped with coin and bill acceptors, and national currency is taken to pay.
A few more decades ago to question "What money in Belarus?" There was no definite answer. But now is actively developing not only the Belarusian currency, but also electronic payment systems.
