(archive) / Visas, passports, documentsHe drives and remains very satisfied. The documents on the visa I prepared on time, having studied dozens of sites with advice on what, when and how... In my agency all the time checked, sealed in an envelope and with a light ... do not go anywhere and spend all 10 hours at the airport. These hours dragged on unreal for a long time, especially the last two. Neither the player nor the book saved it. Closer to five in the evening for me ... but, in the end, the consulate has the right check the documents thirty days. And they have mine only 12 days. He also said that visa can come out at any time, even ... which it is nonsense that the consulate does not accept reservations, and wants to see the full payment of the hotel, that if they had not paid all the expenses for the earlier and 100%, they would not even have been accepted the documents on the visa ...
Axy... from the Czech police. The situation is of course critical, but in the end the consulate has the right check the documents thirty days. And they have mine only 12 days. Yes, and Catherine herself writes ... And even if she hadn't taken it, they would have refused me only on May 10. While how the insurance contract covers the period from 21.04 to 01.05. Those. the date of occurrence of the insured event does not fit slightly ... the validity of the contract. That is, it is still necessary to sue with the MOT about the untimely submission documents on the visa.
The activities of the security service (SB) of any commercial organization on the territory of the Russian Federation are carried out in accordance with the requirements of regulatory legal acts and internal regulations of the company:
- Regulations on the security service of an organization conducting commercial activities.
- Security concept.
- The rights and obligations of the Security Council, determined by the internal regulations of the company. It is this documentation that defines the dominant functions of the security service in a particular organization.
The decisive factors in determining the nature of the work of the security service in each specific case are the following:
- Peculiarities organizational structure companies.
- The location of its branches and divisions.
- The scope of the enterprise.
Taking into account that the Security Council should not only prevent damage of any nature to the company from the outside, but also guarantee the safety within the team, ensure the smooth work of conscientious employees, a thorough check of candidates hired is carried out. Naturally, in this case, questions of a legal nature arise, since, nevertheless, in this case, the Security Council is a private structure and a large amount of information is not available to specialists in private practice by definition. It is for this reason that the check by the security service of a private company is relatively superficial, only the most flagrant violations in the biographies of applicants can be recognized.
What does the security service check in most cases?
By no means in all cases is the verification of candidates for the position held by the security service carried out, since this is a rather lengthy, complex and costly process, which is justified only in relation to people applying for the most responsible positions associated with a high risk of corruption. The costs are mainly associated with contacting outsourcing companies that are authorized to collect certain types of information. This allows the security personnel to figure out the following things:
- List of companies in which the applicant is listed as a founder, chief accountant or director. In addition, you can clarify the organizational and financial condition of these companies at the time of the application. This information is necessary to exclude the likelihood of industrial espionage.
- The applicant's criminal record (if any), as well as his involvement (both direct and indirect) in the activities of organized criminal groups.
- Work in competing companies.
Information search techniques are used that are not related to documents. This includes collecting data on the applicant for the position held among his former colleagues, acquaintances, friends and relatives. Despite the fact that this type of work does not differ in particular objectivity, it is thanks to it that it is possible to find out the most valuable information that allows you to make decisions about hiring people.
IMPORTANT! There is an unwritten rule between security officers of different structures to report, when requested (even if it comes from firms that are direct competitors), data on employees who have committed various official crimes, so as to exclude the likelihood of hiring unscrupulous persons. After all, it is far from always possible to prove the involvement of an employee in a particular offense, therefore such people are offered to “pay voluntarily”.
Analytical work
All other actions are carried out by the security service, as a rule, together with the personnel department. These are the following types of work:
- Analysis of entries in the job book of the applicant. As a rule, attention is focused on why he was fired from his previous job, whether there are layoffs according to current legislation(they are also called dismissals "under the article"), as well as whether there were repeated dismissals for the same reason.
- Analysis of the duration of work in the same place. In the event that a person changes his place of work too often (even if on their own), then this indicates that he has certain personal qualities that do not contribute to quick entry into the team.
- Clarifying the reasons why the person had long gaps between hiring. Perhaps he worked unofficially (which is highly undesirable given the desire to take a high position in the company).
- Clarification of all inaccuracies or misunderstandings that arose during the analysis of the biography of the applicant. These moments are clarified by the security personnel during the interview. At this stage, the psychological aspect is of the greatest importance, since the likelihood that a person will show concern and be caught lying by security personnel is much higher than when talking with ordinary personnel officers.
Much depends on what position the applicant is applying for. If the work carried out by him has nothing to do with trade secrets or other information of great importance, then a call to the previous place of work and a conversation with the company's security officers will be quite enough. Otherwise, the most in-depth analysis of the applicant's biography, especially his career and professional path, will be relevant.
Separately, it should be noted the use of special questionnaires and psychological tests, thanks to which the Security Council and the personnel department can catch a person in a lie.
What positions are checked?
Large corporations can afford to test every person they hire, but the focus is on those people whose work is critical to the company's business success:
- Working in divisions where significant material values, as well as documentation containing confidential data (this is necessary to guarantee the safety of the company's trade secrets, as well as the personal information of employees and business partners).
- Employees whose activities may cause economic damage to the functioning of the corporation. This category includes those people who work with contracts, economists and accountants, as well as persons whose competence includes the disposal of various forms and seals, employees of the information and technical department.
Inspection period
It is very difficult to name specific dates, since a huge number of a wide variety of factors matter:
- The position for which the applicant is applying. It is clear that the more serious the check must be carried out, the longer it will take, since more information will be required. In the event that it comes just about a conversation with a previous employer and several interviews, everything can be decided within a day. If the security officers are embarrassed by some fact in the biography of the applicant or, for some reason, alerted the behavior during the interview, the process may drag on for weeks.
- The professionalism and material and technical base of the security personnel, their actual ability to search for the necessary information.
- Attempts to hide certain data by the applicant himself.

In many companies, security checks are a necessary step: 72% of job seekers have experienced it. HeadHunter found out who is checked most often, what candidates think about it and what data employers want to know.
Who is being tested
Two out of three applicants were checked by the security service. In some areas, this is a mandatory part of employment, and candidates are quite calm about it. First of all, these are specialists in the field of security, the extraction of raw materials and bank employees: more than 90% of them passed such a check during employment.
Most often, the security service checks top managers: 81% note that they have had such an experience. But among novice specialists, only every second respondent said this.
Jobseekers who have already faced security checks are more loyal to this idea: 72% of them consider verification to be an important stage of employment. Those who have not been checked or who do not know about checking are less sure of this: no more than 65% of them believe that this is a mandatory part when applying for a job.
Employees in science and education (38%), arts and mass media (56%), tourism and hotel business (58%) are least likely to be checked.

Every second company checks candidates
Every second company representative noted that they check candidates before applying for a job. But not all employees get into the security service: in most cases, no more than 30% of incoming candidates are checked.
![](https://i0.wp.com/hhcdn.ru/icms/10140945.png)
Oddly enough, employees of HR departments are engaged in checking candidates in Russian companies: every second interviewed representative of the company answered that way. 27% of companies have a specially created department for this. Another 6% use contractors.
The larger the company, the more attention it pays to the issue of verification. Checks are especially common in retail and business services. Interestingly, IT companies do not strive for this: 32% of them indicated that they do not plan to introduce such a check.
On the second round
Most applicants who have been screened have only come across it once in the past few years.
![](https://i2.wp.com/hhcdn.ru/icms/10140946.png)
Applicants who are looking for a job in the security sector, applying for job positions and a place in banking, as well as in the public sector - twice more often than the average for all.
They all know!
According to 64% of employers, candidates know that the company is checking them. But one in five says that applicants are not aware of the fact of verification.
What is being checked?
The most popular methods of verification are collecting information from the last place of work and checking for a criminal record. Every second employer notes that they check accounts in in social networks, 46% verify the authenticity of documents and 44% study the financial situation of companies. Only 6% of companies use a lie detector.
For companies with more than 500 people, the most common stages are the verification of the candidate's criminal record (89%), the authenticity of his documents (68%) and verification financial situation(71%). They use a polygraph a little more often than others - in 11% of cases.
Small businesses are much less likely to conduct a thorough audit of the financial situation and criminal records of relatives. But he is attentive to social media accounts and information from his last job.
![](https://i2.wp.com/hhcdn.ru/icms/10140947.png)
In the opinion of the applicants themselves, they began to check the test task less often: 38% last year versus 26% this year.
Only 10% of candidates say that they have been refused employment at least once in the past few years after being checked by the security service. But mostly not more than once.

The employer survey was conducted by the HeadHunter Research Service from March 20 to March 28, 2018 among 233 company representatives, and the applicant survey was conducted from March 12 to March 19, 2018 among 10,737 site users.
