Bps bank overdraft loan entrance. BPS Sberbank - credit cards with overdraft
Overdraft loan
The term "overdraft" is gradually entering the vocabulary of active consumers banking services, leaving fewer and fewer of those to whom this word hurts the ear. What is hidden behind this concept?
The word "overdraft" itself comes from the English overdraft (over - "over", draft - payment order) and roughly translates as "overspending" or, more precisely, "payment order for an amount exceeding the account balance." In the practice of domestic banks, overdraft is considered as negative balance(balance) on the account. This can be any bank account, not necessarily associated with a bank card (card account).
Overdraft can be authorized and unauthorized (technical). In the first case, its size (limit) is set in advance by the bank, based on the turnover on the account, the average monthly income of the account holder or the client's solvency. In the second case, the overdraft occurs as a result financial transactions on the account, for example, due to the exchange rate difference on the date of the foreign exchange transaction and on the date of its recognition in the account, or due to a temporary delay in writing off the commission for the transaction.
Overdraft loan |
An overdraft loan is a service that is provided to the account holder and consists in the ability to use funds in an amount exceeding the balance of their own funds on the account, within the permitted limit. This type of lending is short-term in nature and is usually characterized by higher interest rates for using a loan compared to conventional bank loan.
Overdraft loans are widely practiced legal entities when settlements with suppliers (contractors) or payment wages employees. This type of loan allows you to make up for a temporary shortage of available funds and meet the terms of obligations.
Within the framework of this article, we are more interested in an overdraft loan to an individual - a holder of a bank plastic card. Let's make a reservation right away that it will be about debit cards glasses, since credit card transactions are carried out within the limits of exclusively borrowed funds within the framework of a consumer loan.
Debit cards with authorized overdraft |
Most often, banks provide overdraft loans as additional service for holders of "salary" cards.
"Salary" card is the most widespread type of debit card in our country (over 90% of all cards issued into circulation). The same type can be attributed to cards for receiving scholarships in educational institutions.
At the same time, a number of banks offer to get an overdraft loan on a regular debit card not related to a salary project. Usually, this requires collateral in the form of a surety or a security deposit, but more acceptable forms of collateral may be provided, such as forfeit in case of late payment. Among Belarusian banks, an overdraft loan on such terms is issued by Fransabank OJSC.
V recent times there appeared express loans based on an overdraft loan without collateral. Due to the greater risk for the bank, interest rates on such loans are higher.
Among the common features of overdraft loans for bank card holders are the following:
1. Reflection on the card account.
The overdraft limit is reflected on the card account as an increase in the amount of own funds available for use.
Example:
If your card account contains own funds in the amount of 500,000 rubles., then after registration of an overdraft loan with a limit of 1,000,000 rubles. your card account balance will increase to 1,500,000 rubles. In this case, up to the remainder of 1,000,000 rubles. you can use your own funds, and if the balance is less than 1,000,000 rubles. - borrowed funds through an overdraft loan.
An ATM, a cashier in a store or cafe will not know which part of the funds used is your own, and which part is given by the bank on credit.
2. Renewability.
During the term of the overdraft loan, the overdraft limit is restored each time by the amount of the repaid debt. In practice, this means that once you have repaid the loan, you are free to use it again.
3. Limited limit and maturity.
Unlike a consumer loan, the overdraft limit is usually limited by the average monthly income of the card account holder. A number of banks offer the possibility of obtaining an overdraft loan with a higher overdraft limit. For example, an overdraft loan in BPS-Bank OJSC, Fransabank OJSC can be issued with a limit of up to four sizes of average monthly income. The repayment period of the overdraft loan is also short and ranges from 1 to 12 months, depending on the bank and the type of loan.
As we have already mentioned, in order to receive an overdraft loan, you need to be a holder of a debit bank card... In addition, it should be borne in mind that some banks provide overdraft loans only to holders of "salary" cards.
So, what documents are needed to obtain an overdraft loan?
At first, the bank needs proof of your income. If you are already a cardholder, the bank can independently obtain information about the turnover of the card account. If you are applying for an overdraft loan when opening a card account, then you will need to first request from the employer a certificate of income for the last few months, usually from 3 to 6, depending on the bank.
Secondly if a surety is provided as security for a loan, then the same certificate of income from the place of work of the guarantor will be required.
Depending on the procedure established in the bank, it may be necessary to complete an application for an overdraft loan.
In case of a positive decision of the bank, a card account agreement is drawn up with the provision of an overdraft loan or a corresponding supplementary agreement to the card account agreement. A surety is formalized by a surety agreement, which is signed between the bank and the surety.
The term for granting an overdraft loan can be equal to the maturity or validity period of the card. The card account agreement may provide for an automatic extension (prolongation) of the term for the provision of an overdraft loan if all the terms of the agreement are fulfilled.
After the bank processes an application for an overdraft loan, the balance of available funds on the card account increases by the amount of the overdraft limit.
How to repay an overdraft loan? |
Repayment of an overdraft loan is different from any other loan and is a regular replenishment of the card account.
If you have a salary card, then the next time the salary is credited, the overdraft will be paid off automatically. But in the case of a personal debit card, you need to independently track the maturity of the debt so that at the end of the loan term you do not have to repay the entire amount in full.
1. Replenishment of the card account using the card.
In cash at the terminal installed at the point of issue of cash (PD), with the input of the PIN code;
- instant transfer money from another card using RBS channels (info kiosk, Internet banking).
2. Replenishment of a card account without using a card.
By bank transfer from the employer within salary project;
- in cash at the bank's cash desk according to an incoming order (you must specify the card account number);
- Bank transaction from another bank or another branch of the issuing bank (you must indicate the card account number and Bank details).
Everyone has a situation when there are still a few days left before the salary, but money is needed today. In such cases, an overdraft loan comes in handy. But many people confuse the increase in the balance on the card account after receiving a loan with the next receipt of wages. We must always remember that we get someone else's money on credit and only for a while, but we will have to give our own and forever.
The main rule of the one who used overdraft loan, - self-discipline. So I want to use all available money! But the destiny of such a card holder is to sit in a constant "minus". After all, repaying an overdraft loan means “building up” the account balance to an amount exceeding the overdraft limit.
Example:
Alexey issued an overdraft loan with an overdraft limit of 2 million rubles at the bank. His own funds at that time amounted to 150 thousand rubles. After visiting the bank - lo and behold! - the balance on the card account increased to 2,150,000 rubles. On the same day, Alexey went to a mobile phone salon to buy a new communicator for 2,050,000 rubles. Having paid for the purchase with a card, the balance on the card account dropped to 100 thousand, and Alexey entered an overdraft of 1,900,000 rubles. "There is nothing to worry about!" - Alexei thought.
Option 1. If you don't worry.
Indeed, after the advance payment of 1 million rubles was credited, the balance amounted to 1,100,000, and the overdraft was reduced to 900,000 rubles. But until the next payment, Alexey, without hesitation, spent the entire amount received. As a result, the overdraft increased to the previous 1,900,000 rubles.
At the beginning next month Alexey received another payment, from which the bank withheld interest on the overdraft loan in the previous month. The situation repeated itself from month to month: on the day of payment, the overdraft was reduced, but by the next it managed to grow again, while interest for using the overdraft was withheld from every month. For Alexey, the overdraft has become “eternal”.
It is not hard to guess why this happened. Having taken money for a purchase on credit, Alexey continued to live in his usual rhythm, not caring that the overdraft would not decrease by itself.
Option 2. How to properly repay an overdraft loan
Finally, Alexey realized a simple truth: in order to get out of an overdraft, you need to leave a certain amount from each payment to repay it. Received 1 million rubles in advance - spend only 800 thousand. Of course, you can spend everything, but it is better to show willpower and by the next payment have 200 thousand more on your account than last month, thereby bringing the desired "exit from the minus" closer.
What other options are there?
To somehow help "unruly" clients, some banks offer the option of repaying the overdraft loan on schedule, so that every month the allowed overdraft limit is reduced by a certain amount.
Despite the “insidious nature” of an overdraft loan, it is good to be able to “go into negative territory” for a short period at any time, because there are emergencies in life. An overdraft loan is often provided without a guarantee, is issued quickly and is irreplaceable as a way of short-term lending for small amounts.
But what if you want to take a "serious" loan for a longer period? For example, to renovate an apartment or buy a car. In this case, a credit card will come in handy. We will talk about the peculiarities of obtaining and using credit cards next time.
Today we will check how the updated application works " Online Sberbank»From BPS Sberbank, which we have already tested several times, but everything is changing. Is this internet banking better or is it still the same? Let's take a closer look at its functionality ...
Today we will check how the updated Sberbank Online application from BPS Sberbank works, which we have already tested several times, but everything is changing. Is this internet banking better or is it still the same? Let's take a closer look at its functionality.
Guest Mode
One of the most innovative, in our opinion, service functions from BPS-Sberbank is a new service "Guest mode", providing an opportunity to pay with a card of any bank. And most importantly, you are not required to be a client of the bank.
To use this mode, you need to go through a quick registration - for this you only need a mobile phone at hand.
We enter all the data into the form, and an SMS comes to the phone, it remains to come up with logins, a password - and you're done :)
It contains a number of features, thanks to which now (in addition to repaying a loan or overdraft), you can even pay utility bills - no matter which card.
There were a lot of services that can be paid for, and we decided to conduct an experiment and try to pay for mobile communications. To do this, the first step was to indicate the card number and email.
Then the system asked us to indicate the payment details - in our case, this is the phone number, full name and amount, - everything is as usual.
The system, of course, asked us for the card details and the 3d Secure password. After entering all the data, the payment was successful - the system provided us with a check, and we even received a confirmation of payment by e-mail.
In addition to making regular payments in the system, it is possible to transfer money between cards of the Mastercard system, including to the CIS countries. Well, let's check it out.
After we indicate the sender's number, the service will calculate the amount of the transfer fee for us.
Push the button "Proceed", enter the 3d Secure password and get a message that the operation was successful. Everything is clear, convenient, but somehow very slow ... We can say that this is a translation for patient people with good nerves.
If you are not a client of the bank, you can pay for many different services, then for clients the functionality of the Internet bank has been significantly expanded. Let's take a closer look at the new products from BPS-Sberbank.
Home page and visibility settings
We liked the structure of the Internet bank, because right on home page we found not only all our payments and cards, but also an online consultant who helped us understand the system.
We didn't have to guess in which category to look for different bank products. As it turned out, the main page can display not only all our cards, but also deposits, accounts and loans.
You can configure this function in the section "Setting product visibility"... In addition to the selection of bank products that will be displayed on the main page, the system has a function for setting the visibility of the balance. That is, if you want to hide the balance from prying eyes, or vice versa, always see it, then just set the desired mode.
Not only all active products are displayed in the Internet bank, in the product visibility settings you can find all the cards that you owned before, even with the status "Canceled."
My finances
In chapter "My finances" you can find a pie chart that displays all your deposits, cards and other accounts. And if you no longer have active cards to the account, then you can see if there is money left on the account, which will help you not to forget about your savings.
We also found an interesting service in the finance section - "Payment sheets", which can form your payroll. But this service works after the conclusion of an agreement between BPS - Sberbank and the enterprise where you work.
Arbitrary payment
In chapter "Free payment" there are also several innovations. Now bank clients can make a transfer to a private person, and not only by account number, but also by document.
As a document, there can be not only a passport, but also a residence permit, refugee certificate or even a passport of a citizen of a foreign state.
A fixed fee is charged for using the payment - 1 BYN.
Translations
Transfers to the bank's customer card in the system can be made in two ways.
The first, as usual, is by card number. The second - by the mobile phone number. Let's try to use it ...
As soon as we indicate the number and press the button "Proceed", the system automatically identifies the recipient - this is very convenient and will help us not to make a mistake with the counterparty.
If the recipient has several cards, then you can even specify a different card number, you just need to click on the link "Specify another recipient's card number", and then fill in the last 4 digits in the form.
Overdraft
In most banks, after an overdraft is issued, personal funds and borrowed funds are not differentiated on the card. For clients, this becomes a headache, because it is not very convenient to independently calculate, at times, far from small amounts.
BPS-Sberbank has "Sberbank Online" overdraft balance and personal money are delineated. Now, in order to repay an overdraft, we do not have to count all the amounts in our head, all the necessary information is in the section.
To repay the overdraft, you need to enter the section "Transfer to your card"... This transfer is carried out without commissions.
Payments and transfers with cards of other banks
Let us remind you that another function of the Internet Bank is the ability to repay loans, overdrafts and even replenish deposits with cards of other banks. At the same time, no commission is charged for these services by the bank.
For our part, we decided to check, is it as simple as it seems at first glance? First of all, we opened a revocable deposit "Online Deposit 1" in the section "Deposits and accounts" for 1 month.
The registration process itself turned out to be surprisingly quick and simple, after choosing the desired deposit, we saw all the conditions for the deposit: interest rate, an initial fee, shelf life and other conditions.
And if something is not clear to you, questions can always be clarified with an online consultant without leaving the page.
We agree with the terms of the contract, enter an additional password - done :)
After opening the deposit, BPS-Sberbank even gave us a "compliment" by giving a discount in the stores of its partners.
If you press the button "Get a discount", then you will be redirected to a site where you can choose a promotion that suits you, for example, in the Monomakh jewelry store chain or visiting gyms.
Now let's try to replenish our new contribution... As it turned out, you can replenish not only your deposit, but also the deposit of any other client of the bank.
We decided to replenish the deposit by MTBank card... It turned out to be quite simple.
To do this, go to the section "Payments and transfers by cards of other banks" and select item «
Replenish the Bank's deposit with a card of another bank».
We fill in "Small" a questionnaire, we indicate the amount, the number of the account to be replenished, and many more details, and then we press the button "Replenish the deposit"... Then we indicate all the details of the card and select "Pay".
It remains to enter the 3d Secure code, and you're done. But that was not the case, the system selflessly did not want to load the page. We did not want to wait for the end of the endless download, so we decided to ask the consultant.
They did not answer us anything practical, but still we managed to overcome the system, and the payment went through :)
And we checked, but nothing changed. Of course, in a panic, we rushed to check all the data. But after 3 hours the money finally arrived.
Card application
In the Sberbank Online system, the user can issue a card not only to an existing account, but also open a new card.
The process itself will take you quite a bit of time, first of all you need to choose either opening a card to a current account, or to a new one. If the choice is made towards an existing account, then we simply select the desired account by clicking the button "Select".
"Currency exchange", in the top menu of the system.
Wallet identification will help expand the capabilities of the wallet itself. For example, now we can make transfers of personal funds to various bank cards or an account with Yandex. Wallet.
Undoubtedly, BPS-Sberbank grew over last years in the field remote service... But still, we will highlight a few small disadvantages:
- we replenished the contribution with great difficulty, and then not the first time, but in the contact center we could not help
- in guest mode, unfortunately, it is impossible to issue a card, because of which you have to go to the bank several times: to issue a card, and to pick up
But there are also pluses:
- new opportunities have appeared in Internet Banking, such as "Guest mode"... The mode, although not as functional as full-fledged registration, is still there and works properly.
- and, of course, Yandex.Money and convenient (delimited) overdraft did not leave us indifferent :)
Many of us periodically face such a problem: there is not enough money on the card, but we really want to buy what is on the counter at the moment. If the long-awaited salary or advance payment is coming soon, then the simplest solution looks like a "loan" from friends, relatives or acquaintances. In fact, the lack of money before the salary can be eliminated without the help of friends - an overdraft will help you with this.
What is overdraft?
This is a loan issued by a bank to fund a personal bank account. natural person... Unlike, say, a consumer loan, an overdraft can be repeatedly renewed during the entire lending period, in addition, this loan must be repaid at least once a month, and interest is charged only on the actual debt on the loan.
Now let's try to decipher all of the above.
So, in any bank in your name an account is opened, to which the salary is received, and you have a plastic card, with which you manage this money. This account is usually replenished twice a month (advance payment and salary), of course, you can withdraw money from the account an unlimited number of times, within the limits of the amount on it.
But it may happen that the funds on the account are not enough to make any necessary purchase, or maybe due to unforeseen circumstances you spent much more than you planned, and now you simply have nothing to live up to your salary.
If you find yourself in a similar situation, then you can contact the bank and issue an overdraft loan. Based on the size of your salary, the bank will set the amount within which you will be provided a loan. This amount is called the overdraft limit.
After opening an overdraft, in the event that the money on the account has run out, you will use the bank's funds within the overdraft limit. But since this is still a loan, firstly, it needs to be repaid, and secondly, interest must be paid.
The overdraft is repaid automatically after the money is credited to your account, and interest will not be calculated on the entire loan amount, but only on the part of it that you spent. That is, suppose that your limit is Br1,000,000, and you spent only Br10,000, it means that interest will be charged exactly on Br10,000 and only for the period until the loan is repaid.
Where to get it?
In most cases, to apply for an overdraft, you only need to write an application, show your passport and income statement (usually 3–6 months in advance). As for loan limits and maturities, each bank has its own characteristics.
V Belarusbank There are three types of overdraft lending, which differ in the size of the limit, maturity and interest rate:
- with monthly period repayment - the limit is no more than the amount of the average monthly income for the last 3 months, the interest rate on loans in Br - the refinancing rate of the National Bank (SR) + 6 pp. (as of 22.03.2010 - 19% per annum);
- with a maturity of 3 months - the limit is provided for a year and is up to 200% of the average monthly income for the last 6 months, the interest rate is СР + 6.5 p.p. (as of 22.03.2010 - 19.5% per annum);
- with a maturity of 6 months - the limit is provided for a year and is up to 400% of the average monthly income for the last 6 months, the interest rate is СР + 7 p.p. (as of 22.03.2010 - 20% per annum).
BPS-Bank also provides three options for obtaining an overdraft:
- with a maturity of 3 months - the limit is up to 80% of the average monthly "net" income, the interest rate is СР + 5 pp. (as of 22.03.2010 - 18% per annum);
- with a maturity of 6 months - the limit is up to 200% of the average monthly "net" income, the interest rate is СР + 5.5 pp. (as of 22.03.2010 - 18.5% per annum);
- with a maturity of 12 months - the limit is up to 400% of the average monthly "net" income, the interest rate is СР + 6 pp. (as of 22.03.2010 - 19% per annum).
V Belgazprombank the size of the limit will be determined by the bank on the following conditions:
- for employees of the enterprise - within 100% of the average monthly salary for the last 3 months, but not more than Br5,000,000, maturity - 3 months;
- for company managers and their deputies - within 200% of the average monthly salary for the last 3 months, but no more than Br10,000,000, maturity - 6 months;
- interest rate СР + 5 p.p. (18% per annum).
If you are the owner of a plastic "salary" card Belagroprombank, you can get a loan for at least Br100,000 (maximum for the amount of your monthly salary) for up to a year and at an interest rate of 19% per annum.
Opening an overdraft in Priorbank, you can count on an amount equal to four average monthly salary (no more than Br5,000,000), which you will be given at an interest rate of 20% per annum for up to 1 year.
V Paritetbank you can get an overdraft loan for a year at an interest rate of CP + 4 p.p. (as of 22.03.2010 - 17% per annum), while the amount of the limit will be calculated within the average monthly income.
Can take this loan and clients MTBank Moreover, if you receive a salary to a card account with this bank for more than 3 months, you do not need an income statement to open an overdraft. The limit is 150% of the average monthly salary, the loan term is up to 1 year. Interest rates differ depending on the term:
- 1–20 days (Grace period) - 0%;
- from 21 to 90 days - 12% per annum;
- from 91 to 180 days - 17% per annum;
- from 181 days or more - 19% per annum.
Overdraft from Alfa-Bank- this is an opportunity to get a loan in the amount of 90% or 200% of the average monthly salary for the last 6 months (no more than Br5,000,000) for a period of 90 days and 180 days inclusive.
V BTA-Bank we are ready to provide an overdraft with a limit of up to 5 salaries at a rate of 24% per annum, and in Belinvestbank you can also get an amount of up to 5 salaries, but at 19% per annum. Belrosbank makes it possible to use an overdraft loan in the amount of up to the average monthly income (up to 2 times the average monthly income - for heads of organizations).
Is it profitable?
Considering the amounts provided by banks, the maturity dates and interest rates of the overdraft, it is best to compare it with a “card” consumer loan. The loan amount in both cases will depend on your salary; however, when applying for a consumer loan, you can count on a more substantial loan. Interest rates on consumer loans are equal to or higher than on overdrafts and must be paid on the basis of the entire outstanding loan amount. It is also important that a pledge or surety is not required to obtain an overdraft.
So, explicit advantages overdraft before consumer loans can be called:
- ease of receipt - to open an overdraft, you just need to visit the bank and provide a certificate of salary (not always necessary); in addition, some banks are ready to transfer money to the account in a few hours;
- interest accrual only on the actual debt, and not on the entire loan amount;
- automatic repayment;
- revolving - after the previous debt has been paid off, you can use the overdraft again.
TO cons overdraft credit can be attributed to:
- strict pegging of the overdraft limit to the salary, and, accordingly, not very large (compared to consumer loans) the amount;
- short maturities - from 3 months to a year;
- problems with the repayment of the loan, which may arise in the event of a delay in the payment of wages or a decrease in its size.
If for some reason you were unable to repay the overdraft, the bank will apply penalties to you, for example, reducing the limit, increasing interest rate or termination of the overdraft loan.
Credit cards and overdrafts on salary "plastic" have long been loved by Belarusians. It is convenient: there was not enough money - I borrowed from the bank without even going there. But buying goods on credit and returning the cash to the card, you can either win or lose ..
"I repaid the overdraft, and then I owed the bank two more days"
To the editor site the reader asked Sergey... He uses BPS-Sberbank payment cards: the first one has an overdraft, the second one usually receives a salary. And then one day an unpleasant story happened to him.
"I decided to use the overdraft, because the money on the main card ran out,- says Sergey. - I paid at the store with a credit card. A few days later, the money came to the salary card, and I immediately paid off the debt so that no interest would be charged for using the loan. However, after transferring money from a salary card to a credit card through Internet banking, I saw that the amount owed did not change. The next day I was still in debt".
The man, perplexed, turned to a bank specialist for an explanation. It turned out that when transferring money to a card to repay an overdraft, the operation is processed by the bank within 3 working days.
"That is, it is necessary that the operation goes through the account,- explains the bank employee. - After processing the transaction, you will not be shown the overdraft debt. Our bank pays off the debt in accordance with the terms of the overdraft lending agreement. It indicates that the repayment of debt is made by cash arriving to the account by non-cash transfer or by making cash in the prescribed manner to the cashier".
The money should be credited to the account, and not displayed on the card. " Non-cash transfers to an account include, for example, crediting your salary or other transfers, where the account number is indicated,-the bank specialist explains.-When making an operation via Internet banking, that is, by transferring funds to a card, the account operation is displayed not immediately, but up to 3 days, since the payment was made not according to the account details, but according to the card details".
The bank's specialist confirmed that until the operation goes through the account, the client will display the debt and accrue interest on the loan.
"Payments cannot go with the speed of thought"
"Clients often have questions like: "I paid today, but the money was not received. The bank is bad.", - comment on the situation in the press service of Alfa-Bank. - This feeling arises due to a misunderstanding of the principle of the system, namely, the timing of the payment".
There is a difference in time between authorization, that is, the performance of an operation (for example, payment in a store with a card, repayment of a loan at ATMs or payment and information terminals, etc.), and its actual reflection on the account in the bank's system.
"The payment system is a complex multi-stage mechanism, and the operation must be reflected at each stage. In some cases, this is not done at the speed of thought.", - they say at Alfa-Bank.
The bank's specialists ask you to take into account that the rate of reflection of the payment on the account depends on the type of transaction. For example, with a regular credit card payment in a store, the ownership of the payment device will be affected. If it belongs to the bank that issued the card, then the transaction is reflected on the next banking day. If the device belongs to a partner bank, then the transaction is reflected, as a rule, within 2-3 banking days. If this is a bank terminal that does not have any partnership or contractual relationship with the card issuing bank, then the operation can reach the account only after 10 banking days.
When paying with a ruble card abroad, you can lose due to the instability of the exchange rate
"In general, the speed of transactions depends on when the card issuing bank receives confirmation of payment from other banks that have accepted the payment. Currently, the maximum confirmation period for banks is 30 days. This is the rule of payment systems", - warns the press service of Alfa-Bank.
First of all, it is worth remembering this when making payments with a card in Belarusian rubles abroad. Given the instability exchange rate you can "get on the dough." The bank will write off the equivalent Belarusian rubles at the rate on the day of display for the invoice, and not at the rate on the day of the payment.
Of course, operations within a country can be very fast. Especially if the bank has its own processing center. But the speed of processing payments will also depend on internal regulations, processes and receipt of documents to the bank confirming the payment.
"We process transactions in our devices ourselves, - is talking head of the department for the development of card products of the card center of OJSC "Belinvestbank" Artem Smirnov. - Even if the Banking Processing Center "falls down", our ATMs will accept payments. If we work with cards from other banks, then we cannot guarantee anything.".
In general, objective processing times can turn the situation both in the direction of the client and against him. Usually in bank devices, as the specialist says, payments are processed the next day. " If you performed the operation on a Friday or weekend, there may be a delay. Transactions on Saturday and Sunday are processed not every hour, but twice a day".
Due to such technical features, it may turn out that a person paid with an overdraft card on a weekend, and on Monday repaid the debt through the cashier. It turns out that the debt has not yet been displayed, but the repayment has already passed. " This is not a scam, but just the peculiarities of the work software, - says Artem Smirnov.
It is best to repay a loan at the bank's cash desk.
How can you still avoid the accrual of extra interest and fines from the bank? First of all, no matter how banal it is, you need to read the agreement and ask the question about the fastest way to repay the loan in time.
Several options are always possible. Alfa-Bank distinguishes two: "day to day" (that is, during banking day) when paying at the bank's branches (cash receipt order), when using Internet or mobile banking of the bank that issued the card; on the next banking day in all other cases, for example, when transferring through ERIP (ATM, payment and information terminal, as well as devices and Internet bank of other banks), QIWI terminals.
The same delays occur when repaying regular loans. Let's say a client makes a monthly payment on the date specified in the contract. If a person does this on the maturity date through the ERIP, then, accordingly, cash will arrive the next business day and the client will be overdue.
The fastest payment method is at the bank's cash desk. Transfer from account to account in Internet banking will be similar in speed. But not all banks provide this opportunity.
