What percentage is taken by the broker mmvb. Broker commission
Investor costs for buying and selling valuable papers on the stock exchange are not only taxes. The exact number of expense items and their size depends on the terms of service of a particular broker and the tariff plan that you choose.
1. Broker's commission for providing access to the exchange. It is charged based on the results of the month or each day on which you have made at least one deal. No deals for the period - no commission.
As a rule, the commission is set as a percentage of the client's turnover. On average, the commission is 0.03-0.1%. You can often find tariff plans with a floating rate: the higher the amount for which the client has already concluded transactions through the broker, the lower the percentage that will be valid for him. Depending on the specific tariff plan, the current value of the floating rate can change both within each day and based on the results of the previous day or the previous calendar month.
In some cases, the commission may be determined not as a percentage, but as fixed amount for each conducted transaction (from 30 rubles).
Some brokers set the minimum allowable commission, below which it cannot fall. The minimum commission may be stipulated for each concluded transaction, at the end of each trading day or calendar month;
In brokers' documents, the size of the commission is often given excluding VAT, that is, the actual amount of the commission exceeds the indicated figures by 18%;
Some brokers offer active trading clients to pay a commission, the amount of which is limited from above - about 25,000 - 35,000 rubles per month. For example, such conditionally unlimited tariffs are offered by Zenit Bank and Unicom Partner;
2. Fee for maintaining a brokerage account. Unlike the monthly minimum commission, it is payable regardless of whether you have traded securities or not. As a rule, it is 118-300 rubles per month and is not withheld if the client's commission for the past period exceeds this amount. Individual brokers do not have a fee for maintaining a brokerage account. In particular, it is not held by KIT Finance, Alfa-Bank, VTB24.
Additionally, a one-time fee may be charged for opening a brokerage account and registering a new client on the exchange (100-300 rubles);
Sometimes the subscription fee is deducted only from those clients who have a brokerage account or portfolio value below a certain value, for example, 50,000 rubles, as in the Otkritie brokerage house.
3. Fee for depository services of a broker. Takes over the storage of securities and processing operations with them. It can be charged daily, at the end of the month, or once a year. Usually it is 100-300 rubles per month and is not withheld for months in which you did not conduct any transactions on the exchange, but simply kept your securities.
The costs of keeping securities may include the following items:
a) a subscription fee for maintaining a depo account;
b) an annual or monthly fee for keeping securities;
c) daily fee for processing securities exchange transactions.
Depository rates are usually published separately from rates for all other brokerage services. Therefore, it is important not to forget to find them and study them separately when comparing the terms of service of different brokers;
Some brokers additionally charge a one-time fee for opening and / or closing a depo account (100-200 rubles);
In addition, a commission may be charged for crediting dividends on shares and interest on bonds that you own (0.2-1.5% of the amount credited).
4. Payment for using a standard program for concluding exchange transactions (Quik, Netinvestor, etc.) is usually not charged. You only need to pay for additional software if you decide to use it.
In cases where the broker still charges a fee for using a standard trading program, it is 100-300 rubles per month;
This fee may be reduced by the amount paid in the form of a brokerage fee.
5. Commission of the exchange when buying or selling shares is 0.01% of the package value, but not less than 3 kopecks per transaction.
When buying or selling bonds, the exchange commission is calculated according to the formula: 0.0001% * K, where K is the number of calendar days remaining until the bond matures. In this case, the commission cannot exceed 0.01% of the transaction amount and be less than 3 kopecks;
Some brokers include exchange fees as part of their own commission, that is, you do not need to pay them additionally.
6. Commission for crediting or withdrawing money from a brokerage account, as a rule, is about 0.2-1.5% of the transaction amount. Most often, brokers hold it only when withdrawing funds, and some do not charge it at all.
7. Margin lending is an additional, but very popular service when trading stocks. Therefore, the costs of investors who actively use leverage sometimes exceed all other costs.
Cash loans (for buying leveraged shares) are provided at an average rate of 14-18% per annum. Loans in shares (for opening short positions) - on average at a rate of 12-18% per annum. The fee is charged only for the transfer of margin positions to the next day. Within one day, lending is free.
Most often, the fee for using a margin loan is debited daily. If you continue to hold the position open longer, then the actual cost of the loan will turn out to be slightly higher than the declared one due to the fact that "interest on interest" will run up. For example, if you do not close a long margin position at 16% per annum for a whole year, you will actually have to pay 17.3%;
If the rates of the broker you are interested in do not clearly indicate the cost of lending in shares, look for the line “broker commission for concluding special repo transactions” or similar - it is this line that contains the information you need.
8. Payment for other services of the broker - useful, but optional. For example, access to an extended news feed, SMS informing about the market situation and the state of your account, printing of any paper documents, etc. can be paid.

Now I have returned to the topic of brokerage commissions. Since 2007 I have been working with BKS Company LLC, and I am satisfied with everything. I even opened an account in Novosibirsk - without ever appearing at the BCS office - by e-mail scans and originals by regular mail (then I lived in a small Siberian town 300 km east of Novosibirsk, where there were no brokers, three banks and one Internet the provider Sibirtelecom, with whom there were problems, that it was easier to make the Internet through a satellite dish, yes, well, times), transferred the money through the bank.
Since the beginning of this year, I have withdrawn all the money for personal needs - there are only 4 kopecks left on the account ...) And now I will start it again, and then, if possible, for purchases, I plan to regularly replenish the account at 30-50 thousand rubles a month.
What do we have on commissions?
Moscow Exchange commission - 0.01%.
Broker commission BCS. I have a "Professional" tariff. The most suitable for me, the company has other tariffs, but they are more like "money scam".
Tariff plan "Professional"
but not less than 35.4 rubles per day ( minimum amount remuneration per day) and at least 177 rubles per calendar month (the minimum amount of remuneration per calendar month), if at least one transaction was concluded in one of the trading systems specified in this section of this Appendix during this day (month).
Servicing a trading depo account (trading section of a depo account) (per month, if there are transactions on the account), the remuneration of BCS Company LLC when working through Depository and Clearing Company CJSC is: 177 rubles.
The monthly fee for using the computer program QUIK MR “Broker” system or webQUIK system is 300 rubles (VAT is not charged), if on the last business day of the reporting month the total value of assets on the Client's account is less than 30,000 (thirty thousand) rubles. The monthly fee for using the computer program Workstation of the QUIK information and trading system for PocketQUIK pocket personal computers (hereinafter - QUIK Workstation for PocketQUIK PDA) is 200 rubles (VAT is not charged), if on the last business day of the reporting month the total value of assets on the Client's account is less than 100,000 (one hundred thousand) rubles.
Recently, BCS has a minimum commission for accounts less than 100,000 rubles. even without making transactions.
25. Minimum broker remuneration
25.1. In addition to the remuneration of BCS Company LLC for the provision of brokerage services professional participant the securities market paid by the Client in accordance with this Appendix and (or) the Supplementary Agreement to the General Agreement, A client who, within the framework of the General Agreement, makes transactions and (or) other operations at his own expense, on a monthly basis, regardless of the fact that the Client submits orders and concludes in execution these instructions transactions in the corresponding month, pays by LLC BCS Company the minimum broker's remuneration in the amount of 200 (Two hundred) rubles, reduced by the following types of remuneration, commissions, fees withheld or subject to withholding from the Client in the corresponding month:
25.1.1. remuneration of BCS Company LLC for transactions in all trading systems in which the Client is serviced in accordance with the terms of the General Agreement, including the trading system of Moscow Exchange ( Currency market), and in the over-the-counter market; etc. ...
I was always amazed at the ability of lawyers to confuse everything so much. That is why it could not have been easier to write this: “A client who, within the framework of the General Agreement commits transactions and (or) other operations at its own account, monthly, regardless of the fact that the Client submits orders and concludes transactions in the execution of these orders in the corresponding month, LLC BCS pays the minimum broker's fee in the amount of 200 (Two hundred) rubles, reduced by the following types of remuneration, commissions, fees withheld or subject to withholding from the Client in the relevant month. "
Those. « A client who, within the framework of the General Agreement makes deals and (or) other operations at its own expense, monthly ", and does not perform -" regardless of the fact that the Client submits orders and concludes transactions in the relevant month for the execution of these orders. " How to understand this ??? The commission will be, even if there are no transactions or there have been. It seems that even if it was not.
It turns out if you have an account of 100,001 rubles. and you didn’t make deals - they won’t take anything from you, and if 99,999 rubles, then 200 rubles, which is 0.2% per month or -2.4% per year. Anti-small investor policies are in full swing.
There are also costs if you take a shoulder, but I will use this opportunity very rarely (almost never) - for example, if the RTSVX volatility index is more than 110 points (this was during the 2008-2009 crisis), now it is below 25.
Conclusions.
It is clear that the broker is interested in large clients, so it's better not to go with an initial amount of less than 100,000 rubles (and you won't have much benefit with amounts less than 100,000 rubles) - it's not worth giving away 200 rubles a month just like that. And then it is not worth making purchases for small amounts (5-25 thousand rubles). Sometimes I meet recommendations to buy regularly at least a little (5000-10000 rubles per month) shares and then you will become rich. But it is very rare for such calculations to take into account overhead costs. It's another matter to save up to the required amount for bank deposit and then buy stocks if stock prices are acceptable.
I calculated the investor's aggregate overhead costs, if, for example, he already has more than 100,000 rubles on his account and makes purchases once a month in one trading day at the “Professional” tariff in BCS. I am most interested in the range of 30-100 thousand rubles.
Graphically it looks like this
How more amount deals, the more profitable. In principle, expenses are acceptable at 360-364 rubles per month for purchases of 60,000 - 100,000 rubles (0.36-0.60% of the amount), since, I think, I will not buy every month, and the money will accumulate.
Probably, it would be wrong to write only about BCS, maybe I will change the broker.
Sberbank. Tariff plan "Independent"
In Sberbank there are no depository costs and minimum commissions (not yet), as a result, the figures are 3-7 times lower for amounts of 30-100 thousand rubles than in BCS (!). But there is some strange fee for a USB-key in 1990 rubles, this is a one-time fee, as I understand it, only for how long, then you won't need to change it again ??? But apparently, this is all invented for security purposes ...)
Alfa Bank. Tariff plan "Optimal"
I did not fully understand the tariffs in Alpha. It is so expensive for them with the KVIK program, but if you work for Alfa-Direct, then generally a penny is cheaper than in Sberbank ??? Another 500 rubles for a USB stick with EDS again. Plus, the depository takes 0.06% per annum from market value securities (!), up to 2-3 million rubles is still profitable.
VTB 24. "Investor Standard" tariff
And here it is 2 times cheaper than in BCS ...
Finam Tariff plan "Daytime"
It seems that the tariffs are quite low, but there is a very important point - “At the same time, the size of the Broker's commission for the execution (partial execution) of one Client's order, with the exception of orders for making transactions on the Standard market, is at least 41 rbl. 30 kopecks"That changes everything. The size of the commissions will turn out to be much higher than in my calculations. Finam - definitely not.
IT-Invest. Tariff plan "Favorite"
Here, only KVIK is not familiar, the tariffs are higher than those of BCS, if I understood correctly the minimum 300 rubles for the broker and 300 rubles for the depository will be taken from you if there were transactions ...
Opening Tariff"Professional"
The result is the lowest tariffs - even lower than in Sberbank. If the account is less than 50 tr, then they also take a minimum commission of 295 rubles in any case. If I have not missed anything, the depositary does not take money, if this is so, then everything is correct. Colleagues, please write in the comments.
As a result, it turns out that BCS is not so good at tariffs ...
I was interested in Sberbank, Alpha and Otkritie. Clients of Sberbank, Alpha and Otkrytie write in the comments - how is the quality of service and tariffs all right ??? If I need to make transactions no more than once a month on shares on the MICEX for the amount of 30-100 tr. ???
After all, if the rates in BCS are several times higher than in Sberbank, Alfa and Otkritie, then why don't customers move there from BCS? And then there are other brokers - KIT-Finance, Uralsib, ALOR and so on ... Should I leave BCS to another broker for 100-250 rubles a month ???
Judging by the statistics for this and last year in June, the volumes are falling, but why does the "expensive" BCS not fall more strongly ??? Should or should I not twitch ???
June 2013
June 2012
I am waiting for comments ...
More rates of brokers on the FORTS derivatives market -
From a broker or management company, the investor should be aware of the additional costs that come with opening and maintaining an account. Since the broker (or MC) acts as an intermediary between you and the exchange, he takes a commission for his services.
They can vary significantly, but they all represent a set of commission fees for certain services.
What are the commissions
Broker commission for providing access to the exchange... Usually set as a percentage of the customer's turnover (percentage of the transaction amount or daily turnover). Most often, with an increase in turnover, the commission percentage decreases. In some cases, the broker can set a fixed commission (for example, at least 34 rubles per day). The commission is charged for the day or for the month in which at least one transaction took place. Accordingly, if there were no transactions, the commission is not charged.
Account management fee... Brokers and management companies may charge flat fees for maintaining an account. The amount is charged regardless of whether transactions were made or not. But more often than not, there is no commission for maintaining an account with brokers.
Fee for providing access to the standard program to conclude transactions (for example, QUIK). It is rare, but nonetheless. For example, the broker JSC FINAM offers connection to QUIK for 350 rubles.
In addition, there is a number of brokerage services for which a commission may be charged: commission for crediting and withdrawing money from an account, commission for margin lending. There may be paid services for the provision of documents, SMS information, etc.
Depositary commission... It is considered separate from the brokerage. It is usually debited if there is a movement on the client's account once a month, regardless of the number of transactions. As a rule, the depositary commission is on average 100-200 rubles per month.
Separately, you need to keep in mind the commission of the Moscow Exchange. When selling or buying shares, 0.01% of the package value is charged, but not less than 3 kopecks per transaction.
IIS from a broker
Consider the tariffs of the top five brokers (by the number of open investment accounts). Immediately, we note that there can be a lot of options and nuances, so each individual case must be considered separately. For example, we take the average portrait of a novice investor. This is a person who independently makes purchase and sale transactions. We consider the tariffs of brokers for IIS only for stock market... The frequency of trades corresponds to the type of conservative investor, not aggressive trader.

IIS from management companies
Since the management companies offer not only access to the exchange, but also professional management capital, you conclude a trust management agreement with them, and acquire ready-made strategies. If you are not ready to make decisions on your own, but you quite agree to trust the professionals, take a closer look at the proposals of the management companies.
We will talk in more detail about the products of the management company in the next review, and now we will focus on the remuneration that management companies take for their services.
It should be noted that often both brokers and management companies belong to the same financial family, while being completely different, even competing organizations. A classic example: the brokerage business of Sberbank and Sberbank Asset Management, Otkritie Broker and Otkritie MC. Each holding has its own strategy in working with IIS.
In addition to the commission for opening and maintaining an account, management companies may incur expenses in the performance of their duties. Expenses are deducted from the property on the IIS account in the amount of actual expenses. These costs include:
- registration fees and other fees charged upon re-registration of ownership rights of securities under management, paid in favor of registrars and depositories,
- remuneration of depositories / registrars for maintaining custody accounts / personal accounts on which securities under management are accounted for,
- commission fees of trading systems, exchange platforms,
- remuneration of brokers attracted by the manager to conclude transactions with securities with monetary funds constituting the property of the founder of the management,
- expenses for notarization of documents for opening the necessary accounts under the contract,
- commissions paid by the manager for the transfer of funds by the founder of the management to trust management by agreement, by payment by credit card,
- costs associated with the transfer of the property of the founder of the management to management and with its return from management,
- other documented expenses incurred by the manager while managing the property under the contract.
Management Company | Minimum opening amount | Minimum deposit | Number of strategies | Online opening of IIS | Reward Of the Criminal Code |
LLC UK Alfa-Capital | 10000 | 10000 | 3 | Yes | At the entrance you pay a commission, which is 2% - “Manager's fee for placement”. In addition, for the trust management of IIS, a commission of 2% per year is provided - “Manager's remuneration for management”. |

When opening an IIS through a personal account the remuneration of the management company is: 0.25% quarterly of the amount of funds transferred by the client to the IIA from the date of opening the IIA to the end date of the quarter for which the fee is withheld |
|
LLC UK "Otkrytie" | 50000 | 15000 | 8 | Yes | The manager's remuneration consists of a management fee and a success bonus. Plus additional remuneration, if it is provided within the framework of a separate strategy. There is no indication on the amount of the remuneration on the UK website. The commission can be calculated using the formulas given in model contract trust management. |
LLC IC "QBF" (QBF) | 300000 | any | 3 | No | 1.Remuneration for management will be 1-1.5% 2. Reward for success 5-10% |
LLC "UK" Finam Management " | 500000 | – | 10 | No | 1. Fixed, from the average NAV, including VAT - 2% 2. From investment income - 15% |
LLC UK "Alfa-Capital" offers three strategies with different investment objectives and, accordingly, indicators. All three strategies are united by the fact that the funds are invested in the assets of Russian issuers.
V Sberbank Asset Management JSC you can choose one of two strategies - ruble or dollar. Particular attention should be paid to the fact that the remuneration of the management company changes depending on whether you opened an IIS online or in the office (spoiler: opening an IIS online is cheaper).
LLC UK "Otkrytie" represents a wide range of conservative, aggressive and moderate strategies, but is modestly silent about the amount of his remuneration. The amount of remuneration of the Criminal Code consists of three variables, each of which is calculated using a formula. The calculation technique can be found in the company's standard contract http://www.open-am.ru/common/img/uploaded/PDF-files1/am/trust-deed_250717.pdf

When opening a brokerage account, the broker's client is faced with the need to pay commissions. Brokerage commission is a source of income for brokerage companies and banks and it is impossible to completely avoid paying it. But you can always try to reduce the brokerage commission. First, let's look at the types of commissions for Russian brokers.
Brokerage commission
As a rule, the brokerage commission itself includes a commission from a turnover, a commission for exceeding ("leverage commission") and other commissions, such as: the minimum monthly commission, commission for submitting an order from a vote, commission for trading programs, commissions for receiving various certificates and statements, commissions for other services. The commission from the turnover varies from broker to broker, but, as a rule, amounts to a few hundredths of a percent of the turnover, however, almost all brokers have tariffs that suggest more high rate- from one to several tens of percent of the daily turnover. So, what does this give us in practice? For example, let's take a real broker and take a real tariff plan. Consider the example of the broker Alor +. The tariff plan is "First". The conditions for this tariff can be found in the table:
Turnover per trading day (RUB) | Broker remuneration |
up to 500,000 | 0,05 % |
from 500,001 to 1,000,000 | 0,045 % |
from 1,000,001 to 10,000,000 | 0,035 % |
over 10,000,001 | 0,03 % |
So, let's say we opened an account with Alor + for 100 thousand rubles and daily we make 3 full transactions with a leverage of 1 (i.e. for 200 thousand - 100 thousand of our own and 100 thousand are given to us by a broker). We do not transfer transactions through the night, therefore we do not pay interest for the excess. We calculate the monthly commission: 3 full trades of 200 thousand each = 6 operations (1 full trade = a trade to enter the position and a trade to exit) - the daily turnover is 1.2 million 1,200,000 * 0.035% = 420 rubles - commission in day In a month on average 22 trading day: 420 * 22 = 9240 rubles. Not a bad commission - more than 9% per month of the deposit, but everything is relative. With the right approach to trading and the right trading system you can earn 0.5 percent of the deposit from each closed deal with an average (taking into account profitable and unprofitable ones), which under our conditions is 66 closed deals brings 33% per month. These are the features intraday trading- the costs of the commission are significant, but the result, if done correctly, is not bad. How to reduce commissions is described below. In addition to the commission from the turnover, the broker takes the so-called commission from the excess money and securities. Before the introduction of the T + trading mode, this commission was called the "margin lending commission". The essence of this brokerage commission is that the trader / investor is paid for exceeding the position over the size own funds(security). On average, brokers charge 10 to 25 percent per annum for excess cash and securities. Commission is debited daily based on 1 / 365th (or 1 / 366th) rate.
Depositary commission
Depositary commission usually debited when there is a movement on the client's account once a month, regardless of the number of transactions. As a rule, the depositary commission is on average 100-200 rubles per month. On the good, the depository is debited only if there is a movement on the securities account, and not on brokerage account... What does this mean in practice? If we trade only within the day and the balances of securities at the beginning of the day and at the end of the day coincide, then there will be no movement in the securities account. That is, for example, we started trading with only 100 thousand rubles on the account (there are no securities), made a certain number of transactions per day and at the end of the day we had 105 thousand rubles, there were no positions on securities. Even taking into account settlements in the new T + mode, there will be no movement in securities on the securities account. Nevertheless, individual brokers charge a depository commission, arguing that there was a movement on the account (I wonder what?), So the commission should be written off. Another option for writing off the depositary commission is a percentage (usually very small) from the valuation of the securities held in the custody account. Such schemes are quite rare.
In order not to count the commissions manually each time, use our calculator brokerage rates... The calculator will automatically calculate commissions based on the specified parameters and give you results for several dozen tariff plans different brokers.
How can I reduce the commission?
Now let's move on to the most interesting thing: how to reduce the brokerage commission without reducing the trading volume and, thus, without reducing your opportunities? It's very simple - you can return part of the commission through special rebate services. How much commission can I get back? Usually, the service allows you to return from 7 to 50% of the commission from the turnover, depending on the broker. Let's calculate how much it comes out. Let's go back to the example we looked at above. For example, reimbursement by one of the services for Alor + is 15% of the commission from the turnover. A little higher, we counted the broker's commission at 9240 rubles per month. 15 percent of this amount - 1,386 rubles per month or 16,632 rubles per year. Those. from the initial deposit of 100 thousand - this is more than 16.5% per annum! Now try to find stocks that consistently pay out 16.5%. But you can find a broker with a large percentage reimbursement, for example, 25 or even 50%! That is, every fourth or even second deal will be free for you.
